I stayed at Pearl for a couple of weeks while settling into a language school at Beihai. It's in an interesting part of town, close to both Beihai old street and the seafront, though a long way from the best beaches on the other side of the city if that's what you want. The room was great, spacious and well looked after. The staff were helpful and the public laundry station on the roof made life easier.

Liked my first stay so much that i extended a second night. Very clean and comfortable. Great location with a good swimming pool.

5 minutes walk from the old street where you can enjoy a night walk. Lot of seafood restaurants, bars, and souvenir shops. The front desk is very nice and welcoming, offered us free breakfasts where you can find a really good variety of food. and added our wechat in case needed any help. If you go there Mr Yuan yuan shan at the front desk will surely make you feel like home. He is so freindly and helpful.

The front desk was nice and did her best to accommodate me in English, including providing her WeChat in case I had any questions. They also upgraded my room since mine wasn’t available at check-in. Be aware, the majority of the guests were senior citizens, depending on what type of vibe you want with your hotel.

I arrived very late at night but the reception staff were welcoming and helpful. The hotel has a pool and is very close to the Old Town. The main beach is accessible by taxi or scooter very cheaply. There is a large Chinese breakfast buffet and very good wifi.
My room did smell a bit when I first arrived, and the cheaper rooms are quite basic but for the location and price it is good. Housekeeping did a good job of sorting my room out too.

For the price I didn't expect a fancy hotel, but I expected it to be clean. It was not. When I opened the towel in the shower a previous guest's shorts fell out. Disgusting. Luckily we brought swimming towels and used those.

Amazing hotel for the price, and with opened pool, but the toilet needs to be modernized and cleanness improved
