Great place to stay for a wonderful trip to Chatsworth House. Food - at dinner we chose multiple starters as a smorgasbord. The service was excellent. Breakfast of poached eggs and smoked salmon on toast was excellent and filled us up for a day of exploring. The twin bedroom was v comfortable. We slept very well.

Great room, super food, but the most impressive feature was the standard of the delightful and charming staff. Every member we encountered was professional, efficient and welcoming. We thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay at the Beeley Inn and the delicious meals served in the restaurant. A perfect base to explore the surrounding area and a venue I would highly recommend to anyone who requires a restful break.

Overall a bit disappointing. We stayed for 2 nights and paid £685 to include one dinner (actually £74 towards dinner) and entrance to Chatsworth House. So overall about £550 for 2 nights bed and breakfast. It’s a premium price but not a premium experience. Good points: breakfast is good and there are premium choices such as eggs Benedict, Royale etc. as well as a very good full English. The bar is great, good beer and not too pricey. Average points: The room was ok, but the bed was quite soft and you felt like you were going to roll onto the floor if on the edge. It was a double so a bit small. (Would have expected. Queen or King). The minibar only had water or a small bottle of milk for tea and coffee. Bad points: The dinner was average. My local pub has better food and more choice. Starters pretty good to be honest (calamari was good and smoked mackerel pate good enough although the sourdough toast was not toast, just bread.) The beef and ale pie was pretty poor. It was filled mostly with gravy and hardly any beef. It was also too salty and the crust not crispy. They tried to charge us for drinks we didn’t have when checking out. Probably an honest mistake and the drinks were taken off the bill but demonstrates some disorganisation. It’s a shame because with a bit of work it could be really good. It’s a great location and lovely inn.

Visited Chatsworth with a couple of girlfriends and stayed at the Beeley Inn. One of our party had a room in the Inn which had a roll top bath in the room which was very unexpected. The other two rooms were situated in properties opposite the Inn and were equally well appointed with walk in showers. The beds and pillows are extremely comfortable, good quality towels and bath robes were provided. A lovely touch was fresh milk and water in the mini fridge and a packet of Chatsworth Biscuits with a good selection of tea and a coffee machine and pods. We ate in the restaurant both evenings and the food was very tasty and a good selection. Breakfast was exceptional and offered everything you could possibly request. The service was exceptional, staff work in all areas of the Inn and every contact with them is greeted with a smile, nothing is too much trouble. I would recommend a stay or visit without hesitation and will return again in the future.

We came back with friends after we enjoyed the afternoon tea here, where we experienced what we thought was a taster of the homemade sausage rolls. Delicious! We decided to order (on our second visit) 2 rolls to share as a starter as they were so good. We ordered 2 at £7 each. It was a bitesize piece. £14 for 2 slices of sausage roll, no bigger than a large lego duplo brick. It was on the nibbles section on the menu, but it needs to be made more clear that it is not a full portion. We soon realised it was a full portion one the afternoon tea. Maybe we should have asked first, but who expects a miniature sausage roll for £7? 3* for the friendly service and the rest of the food. Not one for complaining really, but guys, you really need to look at the pricing for your very small portions. Extremely annoying.

Stayed here 3 times previously and really enjoyed every aspect of it. Stayed this week and it was really poor. Afternoon lunch was poor in options and over priced, I got food poisoning and was sick all night, told them and had no reaction or concern. Service was poor, couldn’t get served at the bar and found 2 staff hiding, sitting chatting in the conservatory. This is meant to be under the Chatsworth brand, so expected so much more. Sad really as this place was GREAT in the past. ☹️ Save your money go elsewhere.

Came here as a long-awaited treat and was highly disappointed. Scones were not scones! They were flaky pastry and burnt and the cakes were revoltingly and sickly sweet. Sad there were no classics in the cake selection. Hope this is fed back to the Chef. We also had to wait ages for the tea to come out even though they knew what time we'd booked for way in advance. Surely they should prepare before you get there so you're not waiting ages. Not good enough for a venue with a chatsworth association.

Disappointed with our afternoon tea experience today. It was bought as a gift voucher for Xmas 2024 and much looked forward to. Booked well in advance for 2 pm but no food arrived until 2:30 pm & no lemon offered with the Earl Grey. The scones/sausage rolls were hard and overcooked - the consistency of crisp puff pastry - surely a chef would know this? Perhaps consult Mary Berry? The cakes were very sickly, choux bun was full of weird sticky white goo - definitely not cream and a wedge of white chocolate fudge?? Sticky toffee pudding ?? What happened to balanced traditional choices? The couple at the table adjacent were also unimpressed with their selection of hard scones etc. Considering the inflated price tag an overall disappointing experience. Maybe get a chef who understands the nuances and expectations of afternoon tea especially as this is a Chatsworth establishment??
