staycation 🇦🇺 Beechmont: A perfect combination of tranquility and nature A few days ago, I spent a wonderful holiday in Beechmont, Queensland, Australia, and I was deeply impressed by this place. Located in the hinterland of the Gold Coast, Beechmont not only has charming natural scenery but also a peaceful atmosphere, making it an ideal place to escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. ### Natural beauty: a pleasing experience The natural environment in Beechmont is breathtaking. Whether it is the mist in the morning light or the sunset at dusk, every moment seems to be a beautiful painting. I especially recommend going to Lamington National Park, where there are abundant hiking trails, magnificent waterfalls and dense rainforests. The entire park ecosystem is well preserved, and wildlife can be seen everywhere. Bird lovers will especially like it here. ### Accommodation experience: Comfort and warmth coexist I stayed in a small boutique hotel located on the top of the mountain. The room was spacious and comfortable with warm decoration. The breakfast provided by the hotel was very rich, with fresh fruits, breads and local specialties. It is worth mentioning that the terrace of the room overlooks the entire valley, with an unobstructed view. Waking up in the morning with birds singing is a rare enjoyment. ### Local cuisine: authentic country style The dining experience in Beechmont is also satisfactory. We tasted local specialties in a family-run cafe. The fresh ingredients and simple cooking methods are unforgettable. The organic farm here is especially recommended. Visitors can taste the freshest vegetables and fruits and have the opportunity to pick them by hand. In addition to hiking and natural sightseeing, Beechmont has many other activities to participate in. For example, hot air balloon tours allow you to overlook the magnificent view of the entire valley; if you like adventure, you can try paragliding and overlook this beautiful place from high altitude. ### Summary: A quiet paradise worth visiting In general, Beechmont is a perfect resort that combines natural beauty, comfortable accommodation and rich activities. Every view here can make people relax and it is an ideal trip away from the hustle and bustle and close to nature. I highly recommend it

Wow is all I can say. The food, atmosphere, and staff were 10/10. We stopped by for lunch on our way to Binnaburra and was greeted by the beautiful Yolanda. She was knowledgeable, friendly and so passionate about her job. She made our experience amazing. My husband and I are big foodies and have eaten at some of the top rated restaurants. The food here was amazing. Our only mistake was not staying here. We will definitely be staying here next time. Thank you for an amazing meal and especially to Yolanda. I hope you are well looked after by management beautiful lady

We had an absolutely beautiful stay at the Beechmont Estate for my husband’s milestone birthday. We enjoyed the picnic hamper & delicious three course dinner & breakfast at Paddock, the hatted restaurant on site, all against a spectacular mountain & rolling hills backdrop. The diverse bird life & spa treatment topped off a relaxing, romantic & indulgent stay. We’ll be back!

We recently stayed at Beechmont for a couple of nights to celebrate my wife’s birthday. Everything we really want to say has already been mentioned in the reviews by others, but there are a couple of things I want to say, First of all, we loved our time at this special place. The staff were sensational and to be greeted each morning at the door of the dining room by Scott was terrific. The breakfasts were plentiful in size and catered to our minor dietary needs that we had been previously asked about. I really enjoyed the little glass of yoghurt on the first morning (once my wife had eaten the sprinkled nuts off the top). The scrambled eggs were excellent, but I am not a fan of bacon cooked really crispy like Americans seem to like it. The cherry tomatoes with chopped garlic was excellent. We did not leave the property during our stay, and had our picnic hamper on the balcony, which had heaps of sun, and no wind. The hamper had luscious goodies and there was more than we could eat. Of particular note was the very small sweet pickled onions. We loved our food at dinner on the first night. I had quail as entrée and the pork for main. Both excellent dishes (although I would not serve seeded mustard and cold apple puree. Dijon mustard and warm apple would be my preference). On the second night, after being “entertained” by Jack at the bar, we had our dinner. There was a leek and potato soup with shaved truffle from the degustation menu and it was absolutely sensational. My wife had the cod for her main and pronounced it as being top quality. Sadly, my wagyu cap was a complete disappointment, being chewy and grisly. It had a nice taste, but was inedible. There are a number of minor matters that I mention in the spirit of helpfulness. (In my working life, I ran one establishment of 1000 beds and another of 450 beds). We were placed in an accessible room, at our request, and the bathroom was excellent. I would consider having a heater installed in the bathroom, because it was freezing. I noticed a previous reviewer mentioned water from the shower going all over the floor in the accessible bathroom. We did not find this at all – the trick is to lower the shower rose, point it towards the wall and if possible hold it in one hand to wash yourself. I would also have a chair placed in the main room as there was nothing other than the bed to sit on. Also, perhaps a rug/mat in the room might give a feeling of warmth. I loved the combustion fire, but sadly, my wife was affected by the very small amount of smoke she sensed. I realise that the property is in the countryside, but we found we had to brush down the tables and chairs on the balcony to get rid of the cobwebs. I’m guessing this would be a never-ending chore for cleaning staff. There is also a need for some of the walls and the door frames to be cleaned, but I am being petty about that. Finally, I want to comment on the cost. There is no doubt that the price for 2 nights plus dinne

Having previously stayed at Beechmont Estate, we invited four other couples to join us and experience this wonderful place together. It did not disappoint. The staff were attentive and accommodating, and the food was amazing. Each couple had their own well-appointed cabin, complete with a wood fire that added a delightful touch to the experience. I highly recommend Beechmont Estate to anyone seeking a fantastic hinterland getaway, whether as a couple or with a group of friends.

We had a wonderful time at Beechmont. The location is excellent, putting you very close to great hiking. Rooms were stylish, large, and the beds were extremely comfortable. The property is serene and peaceful. Breakfast was delicious and dinner was pretty good too. Staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. A few suggestions to really put this property over the top: - I would have loved more information on the history of the property and offerings in the form of a booklet or maybe a guide on the tv. - There were some cobwebs in our room and around the little houses themselves. They were otherwise very clean. - We were unaware that we could walk up to the owners house for a view until a member of the waitstaff told us on our last day. It would be great if more info was made clear upon check in. Really an excellent stay, this property is well on its way.

What an amazing property and more importantly the overall guest experience. We stayed for two nights in April and from the moment you enter the gated Estate it’s a magical place to just relax and do everything or do nothing. We had a warm greeting as we arrived and luggage was packed onto a buggy and we were driven to our luxury pavilion just a short distance from the restaurant and bar area. Our room had fantastic views into the woodland as well as views to the polo field. The room was well appointed with a fantastic bed, lounge area, wood fire, outdoor terrace, large bathroom with a rain shower and a seperate bath that overlooked the fantastic view, sipping champagne, watching the world by and the wallabies almost at the window was fantastic. The dinning experience on our first night was a five course degustation menu with matching wines was absolute fantastic and as they source so much of their food locally it certainly took the dinner to an even higher level, well done chefs great technique and detail, the service was fantastic and Jack really did make the whole evening, when you get food and service together at this level it’s really on point. Breakfast the next day was fantastic, certainly again hats off to the kitchen, we had organised a picnic hamper for lunch but due to the rain we asked what other options we had, the lady we spoke with basically said where ever you want, and there are a lot of options, we decided to have it on the terrace just off from the restaurant, so blankets were arranged picnic basket set up and a bottle of champagne on ice and we had a fantastic time, again service and food second to none. We then hit the spa in the afternoon for two hours of bliss, small and intimate with two treatment rooms but the quality of the products and the first class service was just brilliant. We decided for our last dinner just to order off the a la carte menu, just three courses with matching wines, again Jack was the star again as to the service, the food incredible. We will be back as we have travelled a lot and this estate is very special. Thanks team Roy and Daniel

This was our second time visiting Beechmont Estate, and this time around, it had a different feel. New Managers James and Phoebe have brought a fresh approach to the estate, professional and detailed. The food was incredible, and both dinner and breakfast were exceptional. The service in the restaurant was excellent, and the servers allowed us quality time to chat and were not interrupting us all the time. The cabins are cosy, and the linens are good quality to sleep on. The estate is beautiful and serene. Well done, James and Phoebe :-)
