Great place and quiet with amazing service evenbtheough locate innthe high street. Food and drink was amazing. Coffee machine was a bonus for us.

Stayed at hotel to attend an event and booked the room months before. I loved the character of the room, well equipped with iron, hairdryer, straighteners, tea, coffee and water, shampoo, lotions but no conditioner, these were not refilled for our use but……it was very poorly maintained, broken toilet seat, chipped walls, dirty floors, and old furniture, noisy road at the front and noisy courtyard at the back and all for a premium price of £185.00. We did have a nice lunch in the bar and staff were very friendly which I would return too, but I would not stay at the hotel again for that price which I believe was increased due to the event.

Pros: Great location if you’re visiting / doing business in Ampthill. Great food and drinks downstairs. The staff were always friendly, helpful and welcoming.
Cons: no on premise parking. Closest parking is a municipal lot…10 pounds for 24 hours. When I checked in my room was made up as 2 singles instead of a double as requested. Beds were a tad small & uncomfortable. Walls are thin, I could hear my neighbors “chatting” until midnight the night before I was planning on checking out.

Good location, staff is friendly and welcoming, our check in hostess Phoebe was very helpful.
Can be very noise up until 1am due to events over the weekend. Basic amenities like shower gel/ body wash missing. Rooms are a bit on the smaller end and can have better cleanliness
