My partner surprised me with a wine tour in the beautiful region of Alsace for my birthday, which included a one-night stay. I am so grateful he chose to add two extra nights at Demeure d’Antan Guest House—it was the perfect place to extend our trip. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the friendly manager, whose limited English gave me the perfect opportunity to practice my French (I'm currently a French language student!). The guest house itself is a stunning 18th-century farmhouse, lovingly converted while preserving its original charm and many of its rustic features. We stayed in the Rose room, which was wonderfully cozy. The bed was a decent size, and the highlight for me was the splendid bath. The room, though simple and without modern luxuries, had an undeniable charm that really enhanced the authentic French countryside experience. Breakfast each morning was a delight, featuring fresh, buttery croissants and a selection of delicious spreads that were quintessentially French. It was a perfect start to our days of exploring. The location of the guest house is ideal for anyone looking to explore the wine route and nearby towns. However, it’s worth noting that Beblenheim is quite peaceful, with no shops within easy walking distance, so a car is essential to get around and fully enjoy the region. Overall, Demeure d’Antan was a charming retreat, and the extra time spent there made the trip truly special. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking an authentic Alsace experience!

De aankomst was wat rommelig, we kregen meteen de opdracht om de auto's anders neer te zetten omdat de kamers vol waren. De B&B heeft een parkeerplaats die erg ondiep is met een zitje aan de ene kant, tegen het huis aan. Het is dan ook diverse malen steken voordat je je auto op de plek hebt. Staat iemand iets te breed uit dan is het moeilijk parkeren. De eigenaar was wat apart en gesloten. Het ontbijt is stipt om 08:30, iedereen was dan ook op dat moment present. De rest van de dag zie je hem niet of nauwelijks. De kamers waren netjes en schoon. Helaas waren wij verplaatst naar een kamer met enkel een bad, geen douche. We hebben de B&B ruim een half jaar voor deze datum geboekt en hadden een bevestiging van een andere kamer. Bij het afrekenen werden we ook nog eens verrast door het feit dat de kamer duurder was en dat dat dus ook afgerekend diende te worden. Ontbijt is goed, kamers eveneens met een goed bed, echter onze kamer had nu een eindbord aan het voeteneinde. Mijn 1.85 paste daar niet echt goed in omdat het bed 1.80 was.

Bonne chambre d'hôtes. La chambre est propre et confortable. Le petit déjeuner est copieux et goûteux. L'emplacement du gîte est parfait à quelques kilomètres de tous les jolis villages alsaciens (Riquewihr, Ribeauvillé, etc...)

Arrivée dans le village de Beblenheim par les vignobles, magnifique ! Accueil chaleureux et discret de Mr Tissot fils. Gîte fleuri, spacieux, calme, très bien équipé et très propre. Petit déjeuner copieux, viennoiseries, confitures maison, fromage, yaourts, partagés dans une ambiance conviviale, fatalement , ça dure et on abuse, Situation idéale pour rayonner: à proximité de villages touristiques, belle balade dans les vignes à Niedermorscwihr avec son clocher vrillé unique en Alsace et dégustation généreuse et conviviale de vins chez Mullenbach Jean-Marc. Visite de Colmar très proche. Un goût prononcé de reviens-y alors hâte de renouveler cette escapade.

Authentique demeure de charme d'une propreté exemplaire. On s'y sent bien, l'accueil est chaleureux avec le proprio à l'écoute. Petit déjeuner copieux avec des Viennoiseries au TOP C'est sûr, nous y reviendrons ! ! !

Alsace sous la neige, paysages de carte postale. Un séjour à la fin de l’été que nous renouvelons à cette saison tant l’endroit et le gîte sont agréables. La situation géographique idéale pour de nombreuses visites de villages, de Colmar et de Sélestat où les décorations lumineuses et les marchés de Noël nous ont émerveillés. La situation du gîte "demeure d’antan", au calme, confortable et propre, parfaitement équipé pour un séjour sans fausse note. Philippe, notre hôte, bien que discret- qualité que nous apprécions - est très soucieux de nous faire séjourner dans sa demeure en satisfaisant tous nos besoins, qu’il a d’ailleurs anticipés. Petit déjeuner très copieux dans une salle à manger festive, très joliment décorée du traditionnel sapin de Noël. Que dire de plus sinon un grand Merci et à bientôt à Philippe, notre hôte.
