Between the moldy shower curtain without liner and the used bedsheets not changed in the master bedroom, we were missing items like dish soap , dishwasher soap and burnt light bulbs not replaced! Not recommended at all except for the proximity to the mountains!

This location offers access to a premiere ski hill. But, it's not luxury. Highly functional. Quaint locations nearby. The Cathedral, Chez Marie, Le Shack a Patates (St. Ferreol les neiges) are fun. Of course, you are only 35 minutes from old Quebec City and it's amazing restaurants and activities. We also enjoyed outdoor hot tubs as well as several outdoor skating options nearby.

Plus: The resort is not far from the slopes and only a 40 min drive into old Quebec City Negative: Unfortunately maintenance and housekeeping are not very competent. Equally unfortunate that management allows anything amiss (missing window cranks, missing light pulls, dripping faucets, icy steps, rip in the couch, heavily wrinkled sheets and pillowcases, very used towels, no matrass pads, dirty stove, not clean dishes, used sponges, no toilett brush, no towel hooks in bathroom, only one small pot and one small pan in a 2 bedroom (6 people) etc, ) to be excused with the age of the resort: 35 years what do you expect. Also, resort fee is too high. Valcartier (ice hotel) charges $ 30.00 resort fee and this is really a resort and very well kept.

Our stay at Vacances was very disappointing! Old, rundown, no amenities in October, poorly set-up kitchen, very old and cheap matresses and bedding. Inadequate furniture in living room, tiny tv, bad lighting, very small bedrooms and bathroom. Although it sleeps six, there was only one bathroom, AND there was a resort fee of $40 a day for nothing in October!

Have stayed here many times in the past 10 years and as recent as 5 months ago. Some units are dated and some are newer. We've accepted that. This visit is the first time we have been charged an extra $40/day resort fee. There is a little water park here that some families may use as a part of that extra fee. We won't be, plus its late Sept. and high is 64 this week. Ridiculous to make this a mandatory fee if we aren't going to use the water park and indoor pool/hot tub. So, our overall cost to stay here almost doubled from what we were expecting when we booked it. Sadly, this will be our last stay here. BEWARE.

Only pro was that the complex was close to highway and easy to access. The cons were many. The building itself had litter and dryer lint all around the entrance. Even after we brought it to management’s attention nothing was done to clean up area. The first condo we were assigned was filthy. Floor was dirty. Swept it with broom and filled a dustpan with sand, dirt, hair etc. The attached patio was very small and was overgrown with weeds and litter. When we checked the bed, it was not clean and the pillowcases had hair on them. We went back to office and demanded a different unit. When we checked into second condo it appeared and smelled clean. But it didn’t take long to realize there were many things that needed some attention and maintenance. The bathroom sink didn’t drain properly, toilet barely flushed, shower curtain was disgusting, and the few towels were dingy and threadbare. The dryer had 2” of lint built up which was an extreme fire hazard. In the bedroom the mattress was hard and had no mattress pad. The recliner in living area was stained with spots of unknown origin. WiFi was weak and spotty and only worked in certain areas of the condo. Not sure what daily amenity fee of $28 was for. Maybe for water park that was closed? We ended up leaving two days early because it was just so uncomfortable and uninviting, but yet they refused to even refund the daily amenity fee for those days. We expected much better and were sadly disappointed with our stay.
