within 5 minutes of entering room I saw a german roach crawling on the table next to the coffee maker, I squashed it. I do know from personal experience that it is very very difficult to control roaches, and as long as I see just one, I consider it a stray. My concern is seeing several. I did not, so I was comfortable with that. However I am aware that there are people there who have over-the-top, unrealistic expectations and will make a big deal out of a single bug. These people need to stay home and seal themselves in. I reported it to the front desk and they wrote it on their complaint list. Also, at the time of check in, it was early evening and there was a huge party in the lobby. It was very noisy but expected - it was actually quite fun to people watch, as you can see from the upper floors. I could hear the noise through the door, but it ended around 8pm and was silent after that. Overall the hotel was very nice. Nice lobby that was unique and attractive - I'm tired of the cookie cutter same look in all the hotels . The room first impression was very nice and bed was comfortable. Parking was well lit and safe. The area appeared safe, no people wandering around. I stayed here just one night while driving across the country, and I will stay here again if I come through, as it's best to stay with what you find as ”good enough”.

Stayed at Avid hotels of Beaumont Texas had an excellent experience! The staff was friendly courteous just all around fantastic!! My husband and I only stayed for 1 night but discussed staying longer just because the hotel was great but our timeline wouldn’t allow it. The coffee station in the lobby is a dream especially for a coffee -holic like me. I am also pretty OCD when it comes to cleaning so this hotel was fantastic!!! The staff keeps that hotel very clean and fresh!!! Loved it!!! Highly recommend

The service was great the food was good location was OK to places OK clean but I think they’re a drug motel because I didn’t feel safe Because of the people moving around late at night all night and then one of the other resident wrecked into my car and then that person lied to the insurance company and when I called to inquire about the surveillance it was broken down so I couldn’t get the videos of the wreck

This is one of those old ladies who used to be quite a charmer back in her prime. Today, the place is wilted and trying to stay fresh, but is losing the appearance battle. As far as service, the front desk is terrific. The price is OUTSTANDING, but don’t expect frills. This hotel was once probably a big center of attention, and even had a nightclub. The room I was given was quite clean, although, again, appeared to have sagged over the years. There are definite flaws (shall door had no knob, washer/dryer weirdly placed in a passage hall, incongruent furniture, drapes that don’t seem custom to the size of the windows). The paint is fresh, but glaring in its attempt to be ‘bright’. Still, it’s clean, bug-free, and everything ‘functioned’ as it was intended. Recommended, but guys might handle it better than ladies.

Breakfast is very simple, bread, coffee; parking is free, the bed is big, no problem with children; the location is a bit off, but the motel, it is very convenient to start eating nearby Deng; the outside is very simple, but the room is very clean and large, there is Microwave oven. In short, the price is very high.
