Exceptional from all points of view. Rooms and the location itself is very weel restored, very big rooms with everything you need. Valentino and Enrico are perfect hosts and the breakfast is very very good. If you can, don’t miss the oportunity to book a dinner prepared by Enrico!

We are just back from a lovely 3 night stay in this chateau where everything was made with great attention to detail by the perfect hosts Enrico and Valentino. The rooms are large and clean with a mix of antique furniture and modern decor and the bed was heavenly with luxury bedding and fluffy pillows. Every morning, we were served a delicious breakfast in their blue dining room downstairs. This varied everyday with different homemade items. We enjoyed chatting with the hosts who were always there to help or discuss anything we needed but at the same time gave us the privacy we required.

Chateau Tanesse de Tourny sits majestically among the Gironde vineyards just 25 miles north of Bordeaux. It was brought back to life over several years with passion, love and considerable skill by Valentino and Enrico. Incredible attention to detail and exquisite taste is evident in every corner of this beautiful chateau. We only booked a week but could easily have based ourselves there for the whole summer. From the beautiful bed linens, the relaxing pool, the delicious brunch feasts and incredible dinners prepared by Enrico and served on the patio overlooking the grounds, everything was just perfect. Above all it’s the people that make this Chateau, and Valentino and Enrico are fabulous at what they do. We can’t wait to go back.

Rarely write reviews due to life’s hectic pace, but compelled to do so for Château Tanesse de Tourny. If one was pressed to conjure up the description of a perfect host, it would be Valentino. Attentive without ever being intrusive, charming, knowledgeable, charismatic and enjoys meeting people. Never overstepping, and allaying any guilt one may feel for doing the same. He and his partner truly have a flair for what they love, they have turned the château around and reintroduced the graceful elegance, flair and enticingly comfortable serenity it no doubt had originally, and then some. They have created the perfect haven in a beautiful countryside, for guests to either utilise as a relaxing base to explore the wonders of the area, or just to unwind and feel welcome and recharged. Our stay was early October, and the pool was warm and inviting. As for the breakfast/brunch, there is simply no room for improvement. The only downside to a stay like this, it spoils one for anywhere attempting to be an equivalent. (My wife and I have stayed at many.) Simply put, perfect.

This is possibly the nicest place we've ever stayed. The chateau is in a beautiful country setting, fabulous views of surrounding vineyards. The common areas tastefully designed, a nice pool and our bedroom was really spacious with a comfortable bed an therapeutic rain shower head. Also luxury Rituals products in the bedroom. The welcome drinks and cheeseboard was so tasty and the huge buffet breakfast was the best we had on our whole trip in France. Lastly, but most importantly, Valentino and Enrico made our stay. So friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Advised us about what to do close by and organised a vineyard tour that was mind blowing in St Emilion.
