We did not chose to stay here, it was included in our 3 day tour of Normandy Beaches. The hotel is a great location and has a good breakfast, but nothing remarkable besides that. It is a 2 star, no elevator, very narrow staircase making it hard to navigate 2-way when schlepping luggage. We had room #10 which was on 3rd floor. Small, small room with no fridge, little storage and few towels. The restaurant & bar on site are quite good. I’m including a view from our room.

We absolutely loved the city of Bayeux and our stay at Hotel Reine Mathilde! The room was large, with a small kitchen. The restaurant on site was delicious as well.

My family had a terrific stay here. Service was friendly and helpful, the room was simple, but clean and comfortable and had everything you needed, including a great coffee maker. Highly recommend. Would definitely stay again!

This is one of the best hotels we stayed at during our 11-day trip to France. Parking is a challenge, but there are several lots and street parking nearby that are free after 7 pm until 9 am. We pulled right up to the front to unload and check in. Our room was out back, behind the restaurant, in a different building from the main hotel. It was up a short flight of stairs and was a lovely, spacious room. It came with all the things - coffee maker, fridge, water, and safe. The room was clean and comfortable, as was the shower and bathroom. Comfortable stay and the hotel is near to everything one needs to see. We walked everywhere in Bayeux. This is a wonderful home base for Normandy beach tours. Between us and the restaurant was a lovely grassy area set up with chairs and small tables where you can have cocktails and snacks. This was a great place to unwind! The staff was exceedingly friendly and kind.

Everything about this hotel was just what we were looking for. The rooms were clean and comfortable. We had special requirement for the bed arrangement which was done without issues. We had dinner together in the restaurant with all of our party of 8 folks. The menu was a great combination of traditional French dishes with a few international favourites included. Breakfast was early enough not to rush our departure and was fresh and delicious. The highlight of our stay was the staff. All of whom seemed to love making us feel welcome.

We stayed here when we did the historical tour of Normandy region. It’s an easy walk from the train station and in a great part of town many shops and restaurants nearby. Their attached restaurant is really good as well. Very comfortable bed and pillow pillows.

We stayed 4 days in the Normandy region picking Bayeux as our home base. The hotel was in a perfect location, just minutes from excursion location meeting point. Hotel was clean and reasonably priced.

Great location, spacious room, just be careful with bathroom floor as it can get very slippery and they have no rubber shower mats. I actually fell (thankfully not hurt) but it was a scare nevertheless
