Not what we expected
Not suitable for people with mobility issues. We were required to climb narrow aluminum steps outside the a spiral wooden staircase with a weak railing inside to get to our “first floor” room. We were also surprised that we were required to cook our own breakfast. My experience of a bed and breakfast lodging is that a cooked breakfast is provided. Also, there were no restaurants close by, so you need access to a car.

Lovely atmosphere in the apartment and home of Philippe and Nathalie We stayed 5 nights here, The breakfast were a highlight delivered in a basket; croissants , fresh fruit , crêpes, Philippe drove us to our car hire and tour bus as taxis and Uber didn’t seem easy to get . Bayeux is a nice sized town to visit , nice restaurants , patisseries and boutiques ! I would definetly recommend this experience at the La Paresse en ville . Best wishes , Nicki and Hugh

My wife and I stayed in the cottage at La Paresse en Ville for 3 nights while visiting the Normandy area. What a charming place! Philippe and Nathalie are such wonderful hosts. The cottage was amazing, beautifully decorated. who can resist a yummy picnic basket at your door for breakfast? They have the warmest personalities and gave us great advice regarding restaurants and other towns to visit....we loved spending time with you both! it felt like home -we will come back!

This was a great place. The owners were so helpful and accommodating. The room was clean and comfy, the bathroom was modern and ample. We had access to their wonderful back yard, pool and jacuzzi. Just a great place to stay and hosted by a wonderful couple.

This is an amazing little French cottage, my husband and I felt like we were in the movies. The cottage was fully equipped and very comfortable. in addition to the cottage, we were able to use the hot tub, swimming pool, laundry facilities and an outside kitchen and dining area of the main house. Phillipe and his wife Natalie were very warm and were available to help us with anything we needed help with. We will definitely go again and stay longer.

After travel chaos that meant 43 hours in airports/planes, arriving at this incredibly peaceful oasis was pure joy. We slept so soundly! Nathalie & Philippe thought of every detail to make our stay wonderful. The breakfasts are delivered in a basket each morning & they provide fantastic info on local restaurants & things to do. We appreciate them so much for restoring our excitement in our journey after its tumultuous start!

Natalie and Philip were excellent hosts. The property is gorgeous and inviting and is located near popular Normandy attractions. Also, it is walkable to downtown Bayeux's amazing history and culture.

Our lovely hosts, Phillipe and Nathalie, were sooo accommodating. Easy to deal with and so helpful. The apartment was beautiful and had everything we needed. They provided a great breakfast and had a good coffee machine with pods. We got tips about what to see around town too. I would recommend this accommodation to everyone..
