Novotel Bayeux
4/579 Reviews
The Novotel in Bayeux is a good basic hotel. The location is easy to get to and a great base from which to head out and explore. There is more than ample free parking. The rooms are well appointed for the price. There is a nice and clean little swimming pool in the back, and a surprising amount of lawn. Very relaxing. The high point of our stay was definitely the staff. All were friendly, courteous, and very professional. The manager was very responsive when my wife brought up a minor issue. The breakfast is very good, and we were surprised that we didn't have to pay for our 14 year old son. About the only downsides we encountered were the somewhat careworn look of the hotel, and the limited dinner menu. These are minor issues though. Overall I would recommend this hotel and I would certainly return.
Chateau de Bellefontaine

We first saw Bellefontaine on a touching movie ”A Foreign Field” that was created for the 50th anniversary of the debarquement, and filmed partly at the château. There was always the possibility that it might be a disappointment, but I am happy to say it wasn't. This hotel is a little gem, situated just 15 minutes walk from Bayeux centre, yet quiet and remote, a peaceful haven. The welcome was near perfect. Our room was not quite ready, so we were seated on the terrace and supplied with a drink each, a speciality of the hotel. Soon we were shown to our room which was splendid. Elegant, spacious, well furnished and scrupulously clean. Over two days we loved every minute. The staff deserve particular mention, both in reception and in the restaurant we were made to feel special guests. Should we ever visit Bayeux again, and we well might, we would consider nowhere else. Bellefontaine would be our home.
Churchill Hotel Bayeux Centre

I could not be happier. We were lucky to get a last minutereservation after a different venue canceled at short notice. While the room was a little small (again, this was a ”beggars can't be choosers” situation), the bathroom was spacious, modern & scrupulously clean. The hotel is very clean, tidy & well maintained. The location is ideal, in the center of town with shops, restaurants & most destinations within walking distance. Reception is multilingual and extremely helpful. The breakfast is worth the price if you prefer (as we did) a breakfast tjat includes fresh hot scrambled eggs, 2 different kinds of ham, the 3 cheeses of Normandy, & of course the freshest bread (baguettes, croissants, etc), which one expects in France. We were treated like favored guests (everyone was). I actually can't wait to return. 4 nights is not enough!!
Hôtel de Brunville & Spa
4/576 Reviews
A huge advantage is that a 3-star hotel at an excellent price is shared with a 4-star hotel located in a nearby building. This way you enjoy a shared breakfast and spa facilities that belong to the more expensive hotel. There is free parking in the streets near the hotel - the receptionist showed us on the map when we dropped off our luggage. There is parking at the hotel for a fee, 12 euros per day, but when we arrived it was full
Villa Lara Hotel

The hotel bed is a blanket, I don't like it very much. Good location, not many varieties of breakfast, simple, taste can be. Service attitude is good, but professionalism can be improved.
Hotel le Lion d'Or et Restaurant la Table du Lion
4.4/5101 Reviews
After three weeks of touring Paris, Bayeux, Lyon and the Rhone River this was our favorite spot. We were there for two nights and it was a perfect little spot. The front desk staff and hotel were great and the town was charming. The staff catered to our every request for help as we speak NO French and helped with reservations and scheduling tours. The front desk does it all from checking you in to bartending their adorable little lounge area. It was so charming. A private tour of Normandy is well worth the money as well!
