Hotels near MAS Penang Cargo Complex in Bayan Lepas

Just a nice place for short stay before catching flight. Room spacious enough. We stay first before our outbound flight, and the room we got is clean, and also have sofa bed. But when we repeat again for inbound flight, the room we got 415, has a little bit problem with the shower (does not drain properly). Hope the management look at it. And also kudos to the staffs who always greet us. Not forgetting a bellboy who helped us with our luggage.

Overall our 4nights stay at Olive Tree Hotel Penang was very good but not spectacular. We do appreciate the free parking for guests at their multi-storey carpark and the convenience of the location being walking distance to lots of cafes, restaurants and etc within Bayan Baru. Our room did not come with breakfast so we can't comment on that although we do see a lot of people having breakfast during our stay. Their food offerings at the restaurant was great too and reasonably priced. Our room was super spacious and very comfortable and was the highlight of the hotel for sure. Unfortunately during our stay over Christmas, there were lots of things being fixed (which is a positive for future guests) but it didn't affect us that much. Once again very good hotel but not spectacular.

Made a last minute booking at this hotel; for a one night stay. Arrived in the evening; yeah they ad the rooms ready. Staff were decent. Good size lobby. The room Got the rooms on the 3rd floor. There is a lift; so easy to go up. Small room. Toilet seems big for budget hotel. Towel was superb; fluffy and fresh. Good hot shower with good water pressure. Just the air condition was not that cold at all. Moving around is easy with Grab. There are many food store nearby. Overall, this place is decent if you have things to do in Bayan or Airport area. Just dont expect much.

I recently stayed at this hotel with my family, and it was an excellent experience. The facilities were top-notch, catering perfectly to families. From spacious rooms to family-friendly amenities, it provided everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Highly recommend for a family getaway!

The hotel located at very strategic location..near to shopping complex and walking distance with variety of restaurants around the area..very clean hotels and easy check in. Self service check in kiosk available..recommended and will come back to stay here..

This was our 1st time at Amari Spice but from the on set was a bad experience. Driving into the hotel I could not drive to the lobby entrance to drop my family & luggage as it was blocked for some reason best known to Amari. Security at the entrance was of no help & I ended up blocking the way of a car at the back. What was supposed to be destress trip, started off on bad note. Anyway cursing Amari Spice for being worst than a 1 star hotel, I reversed back into the lobby entrance. Told this bad experience while checking in to the front office staff but they were not bothered  Going to the room found the mattress to be too soft sinking when you lay down & the air cond temp tops up at 26.5 degress, not everyone likes the room super cold. These 2 shortcomings are something that you wld not find in a 4 or 5 star hotels but looks like Amari is still figuring out where they stand. Even many 3 star hotels are better. Moving to the shower both rain & hand shower water flow was dispointing at best with temperature regulation being a challenge. Since my home is at Bukit Jambu & the main reason of chosing Amari was to destress, which was not possible with the said room conditions, I had to leave my family both nights to head home to rest. The matteress, shower & air cond at home the best. Wondering how Amari claims to be home away from home. On a good note the staff were courteous & friendly. Inclosing would I stay at Amari Spice again. NO.

Everything was fine, no high expectation since it's a budget hotel. Room for improvement for receptionist- they should be trained to be more friendly, warm and welcoming. Both receptionist on duty day and night were cold, unattentive and not friendly at all.

My family and I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hompton Hotel by the Beach for our holiday, and it was an absolute delight from start to finish. This beachfront gem proved to be the perfect sanctuary for a family getaway, especially with a little one in tow. The rooms at Hompton are nothing short of impressive. Spacious, impeccably clean, and tastefully decorated, our family suite provided a comfortable haven with a stunning view of the beach.

Honestly, feel very sorry for this hotel... They just took over from the previous owner and revamp it to look super nice and all facilities that are needed will be provided (drinking bottles in the room, water dispenser shared fridge in the hall, bath shampoo in the shared toilet, bath bags , adjustable wall-hooked smart TV, etc), way better than the 3stars hotel! Its such a rare find to pay such price and having 2 beds! The staffs are full of sweet smiles and kindness and very polite, they deserve praises for their good attitude and hospitality! If the night didn't come, this would have win our family's favorite of all time! If the night didn't come, I would crazily shared all the lovely photos and recommend to friends and families.. If only.. We stayed in Family 3 Pax - Shared Bathroom (lvl2), which is facing the main street. During the day, we noticed the street noise was quite loud in the room but is bearable for the on-off motorbikes and buses. HOWEVER, by night time, we were caught by surprise! There's a closed bar, 1945, with booming music going on non-stop with disco-like party! And because the room wall is just connected to this bar/restaurant, the vibration from the blasting music was really strong. There seems to be some unauthorized activities behind the closed door as you can hear the patrons getting too high, screaming on the street. And lots of motorbikes randomly parked around, so we were pretty worried about car getting vandalized/scratched as well. The party only ends by 3AM in the morning, so which means we only get to sleep by then. I did noticed that most of the reviews didn't mentioned this, only 1 or 2 so either everyone else's room is not directly affected like this room or they're out partying too :) I would say... if you're young and not a light-sleeper, do give this hotel a chance but just skip this particular room!

I choose this hotel because it is close to Penang airport, only abt 4 plus km away. Secondly is the price was affordable but location wise there's no shopping mall within walking distance. The staff at counter was very helpful, i request to store some of my frozen items in their fridge as the room don't come with mini fridge, and she immediately render her help, really appreciate her kindness. Thank you dear.
