Top tier service. Clean and tidy rooms. Customer service is refreshing. Motelier went above and beyond. Our heater was on warming the room for our arrival. Bathrooms were sparkling clean. Highly recommend

It was such a pleasure to stay at Barringtons. Our host, Steve was so welcoming, friendly and helpful and went out of his way to make our stay enjoyable. The night we arrived we had travelled through a very bad storm and had to do a big detour due to the Kaimai Range getting blocked by a slip. It added hours to our journey and we had a harrowing trip to get to Whakatane but it was so nice to eventually arrive safely at the Motor Lodge and find it was spotlessly clean! I didn't feel like I had to clean anything, which is not normally the case in other places we have stayed in both NZ and Australia in recent years. It's the cleanest accommodation we have stayed at for a very long time, it was lovely! The living space, bedroom and bathroom are spacious and well appointed and had what we needed. I loved that the bathroom had a big vanity with lots of bench space and cupboard space to put my makeup case and our toilet bags, it was so nice not to have to leave them on the floor, which is often the case in many other hotels & motels. It was quiet as well, which I really appreciated as I'm a light sleeper. We will definitely be trying to get the opportunity to come back for a longer stay in the future . This motel has been the absolute best accommodation we have found in NZ to date. The room is spacious, clean and fresh and beds comfortable. The kitchen, utensils, appliances are all immaculate and a pleasure to use. The location is awesome for local shops and restaurants. Love the reusable milk jug in fridge! If our itinerary allowed we would stay here and just make day trips!

As a family we travel to Whakatane a lot. Barringtons has been our go to accomodation on 4 occasions. The rooms are always immaculate, beds are comfy and the hosts are so welcoming and awesome! And because of this we will definitely be coming back

Barringtons Motor Lodge was our best value stay during our trip to the North Island. The motel is clean and tidy, the beds are comfortable, the lady at the desk was very helpful and friendly. The kitchenette had everything we needed to cook and eat an easy dinner. There even was a spa bath and a shower. We booked direct with them via phone and it couldn't have been easier. No Airbnb charge, our own space, it was just functional and we had a great stay. Many thanks!

This is one of the top motels we have stayed in. Beautifully decorated, immaculately clean, excellent shower pressure. Lovely big rooms and Kaye and John are so friendly and welcoming. Very highly recommend this motel to anyone staying in the Whakatane area. Thanks again foe the incredible hospitality.
