This is the absolute best resort on property. I love when I can swing it to stay here. I highly recommend the water/pool view! The staff is super nice and the place is very clean. They have amazing food. I wouldn't recommend the chicken Caesar salad but get the shrimp Caesar salad instead. Great place!

Beautiful resort, great location. But as a Disney Travel Agent I would really struggle to recommend this hotel. Booked a weekend night here a few weeks ago. Dropped our luggage in the room, grabbed a dole whip, and headed to the parks. Arrived back at the room late and hit the pillow. We woke up the next morning to a broken shower (the handle fell off) toilet that wouldn't flush, and a tub that wouldn't drain the water stuck in it. Contacted front desk immediately and was told maintenance would come out. We wait an hour and no one showed up. Went back to the front desk and asked again what we could do; we needed a bathroom to get ready. Maintenance was no where to be found and we already gave up the first hour of our park reservations. Their advice? To use the public restroom. We arrived back at the room later to checkout and I'll spare you the rest of the drama. We went two days without a shower in the hot Florida sun with no alternative, no recourse, no apology, nothing. Instead, for $950 a night, if something goes wrong, you'll be escorted to use the public restroom. Here's a photo of my husband washing his hair in the sink. What a disaster.

Just arrived home from staying at this resort for 14 nights, the hotel is beautiful literally feels like your in hawaii with all the tropical plants at the entrance and around the pools. The interior is stunning and really matches the theme. The staff are very friendly all across the resort and the hotel itself is spotlessly clean including the pools. The room is beautiful and spacious with a large ensuite bathroom. The room was cleaned everyday and provided with fresh towels. We made use of all 3 pools and hot tubs which were quiet in the evening. We ate at the main restaurant and snack bar which was both really nice with good quality food. The only negative was the noise in the rooms as we could hear stomping all through the night which was enough to keep us all awake even the heavy sleepers! On one night i got no sleep at all because of noise from other guests in the room above us which isn’t ideal when you’re busy everyday walking in the parks.

Would never stay here again. Really looked forward to this but the resort is so busy. Looks like adding the tower building the facilities are lacking. Pool always busy, capt cook had no seats, foyer very busy and we had to ask to be moved as we were located next to the service yard. When we arrived bell boys didn't offer any assistance with bags, complained but didn't get anything back. Really disappointed - will stick to the Beach club

not much to recommend this hotel, other than that is is linked to the Disney parks. First, they screwed up our reservation and we lost our connecting rooms. That is a major issue when you have numerous small children! The food is OK in the better restaurants, but overall, it's like a Waffle House. The rooms are old with thin walls. The material choices suggest that they expect heavy abuse. That is reasonable, but then why does the local Hyatt not need vinyl flooring?? The check-out was a disaster too. We booked a themed breakfast with disney, and realized that we would be very close to our checkout time. We asked for some leeway, and they flatly refused. Not expected on a $30,000 vacation. Truth: if not for the tie-in to Disney, no one would stay here

This is tailored pretty much for families going to Disney…but the hotel lacks basic amenities like room service. I would much rather stay at the four seasons or the ritz. The resort is also way too busy. It’s just a fake Hawaiian themed hotel and pretty underwhelming. I honestly wouldn’t recommend this place if you are used to 5 star hotel experiences. Disney doesn’t do hotels correctly. The only advantage is the monorail to magic kingdom. The new tower is nice, but the rest of the resort is just “blah.” Also, too many people as well.

I recently stayed at the Polynesian and had a great time overall, but to be honest, the main reason I’d stay here again would be for the nostalgia and the location. There isn’t much else that really makes it stand out. Going into any Disney resort, you know you’re not getting a true luxury hotel experience, but you are paying those prices. Still, if you manage your expectations and want to stay in the Disney bubble, it can absolutely be worth it. Every cast member I interacted with was incredibly nice and friendly, which made a big difference. The grounds are lush and beautiful, and the Hawaiian music playing throughout the resort really adds to the immersive atmosphere. The whole place leans hard into its classic tiki theme, and it definitely delivers on that front. If you’re into that old-school Polynesian vibe, there’s a lot to love. That said, the resort is crowded. The lobby, walkways, and especially the pools were packed throughout the day. I found the Cove pool underwhelming, and the new tower being built is frankly an eyesore that takes away from the charm of the property. My room was comfortable, and the renovation shows in parts, but it’s also starting to feel a little worn again. Cleanliness could’ve been better. The bed was too firm for my taste, the sheets weren’t especially soft, and while the AC worked great, some of the finishes felt dated. The hallways looked and felt like a motel, cheaply built, worn down, and not really in line with the price point. Some of the building exteriors and stairwells looked like they haven’t been touched in years, which was disappointing. I’ve also stayed at the Grand Floridian, and while it has the same “not quite luxury” feel as most Disney resorts, it’s clearly better maintained and feels more refined. The grounds there are peaceful and elegant, and to me, it felt much more like a flagship resort. With prices usually being similar between the Poly and the Grand, I honestly don’t see a reason to choose the Polynesian again unless someone really prefers the theme. That said, I still had a great stay, it’s a fun, classic resort with unbeatable monorail access and tons of Disney charm. Just go in knowing what to expect.

My family had the pleasure of staying 5 nights at this fantastic resort. We were in the Hawaii building with a Theme park view and the view of the castle and fireworks were amazing. The room was very large and had plenty of storage. We also appreciated being able to login to our Disney+ plus account to watch movies. The club lounge was the absolute best we have had a Disney resort. The breakfast and evening offerings were plentiful. Also the adult beverages were quite good and unlimited. Our boys enjoyed the mickey bars that were self service. The pool was a lot of fun and enjoyed it most at night when the crowds were away at dinner. The Cast Members were very nice and took care of any issues we had right away. The monorail and boat transportation were very convenient.
