We had been a little hesitant about the Contemporary, because it seemed slightly dated and somewhat "corny", but we were so wrong! As most things Disney, things were generally over-the-top. Facilities were wonderful and clean, staff always gracious, friendly and helpful. Every request was fulfilled, and even undeclared needs (e.g., a loaner wheelchair) were addressed.
The hotel is pricey (not unexpected), but it has much to offer including easy (<10 minute walk) to the Magic Kingdom, obvious access to the monorail, which literally runs through the hotel building, and a WDW bus station just outside the door.
Dining options that we experienced ranged from (again) pricey and over-the-top to satisfying and reasonable.
This hotel was a real contributor to our now familiar Disney experience -- an almost overwhelming overall experience paired with a look ahead to the next visit.
When we first arrived we were greeted with the now familiar, "Welcome home", and it felt just right.
