Some waiters at the Poseidon buffet treated us reluctantly, quite the opposite of Domingo who was always attentive and with a good smile, the guys at the pool bar at the palace and the Secret are 100%, as for the room we had cockroaches in bed, bathrooms were regularly clean, otherwise good.

Immediately greeted and helped with our bags. Checked in and they upgraded our room at no extra cost, to a roof top jacuzzi room. We were then told that we were invited to a welcome breakfast for the next morning. Unfortunately unbeknownst to us, this was a 2 hour timeshare meeting. We did enjoy talking to Melvin at the meeting, but they seemed angry that we did not want to invest in it. Room was very beautiful. A little dated, but we have been told that they have plans to renovate in the next few years. The mini fridge did not work, someone came to fix it promptly, but it still did not work. We weren’t too upset about this, as ice was available close by. The shower door didn’t close, we had to cover the floor in towels, but this also wasn’t a huge deal to us. The view we had was great, and the beach was about 30 ft from the building we were in. (Villa 19) Every day we came back from the beach we had a new bottle of champagne left for us. Bottled water was stocked frequently, and beds were made every day. Food was hit or miss. Buffets were OK. El Dorado, Hemingway and CHIC are an incredible must. Drinks were amazing everywhere. Service and golf carts were easily obtainable to bring you places. Beach and pools are beautiful, fun and well maintained. Too many solicitors trying to get you to buy things on the beach - that is our one and only HATE about this trip.

For the most part it was a very nice stay. Rooms were always clean and people usually friendly and helpful. Plenty of food options available and the resort and beach are beautiful. We had a few issues with our mini fridge not having drinks refilled. My friend had a few issues when she was trying to call room service to have this brought. Not sure why they decided not to stock the fridge a few days, but I believe she had trouble maybe because the person on the other side of the phone didn’t want to help her because my friend spoke English. This is just a possibility not really sure exactly why they kept hanging up on her. Eventually we did get some soda brought but it was kind of a pain to have that happen two days in a row. Come back from excursions and have nothing to drink in your room. Other than that I would say all was good.

The staff and service was very good. The grounds were beautiful. Our air conditioning in our room did not work and our room was infested with mosquitoes and we were eaten alive all week. The pools were beautiful. Beach was a hassle as you get harassed constantly by vendors and cannot relax because you are fighting them off. And lastly the food was very poor at all the restaurants we visited and the buffet. I don’t ever put reviews so you have to make up your mind for yourself.

It is their goal to set up a meeting with you about the other facility. Do not waste your time. If you wanna enjoy your day, just cancel tour. The other big problem the restaurants get filled quickly and the app do not work and its make things hard for you to go and set up an appointment for different restaurants. The place is very big so you need your phone to navigate through the property. The people are friendly and very nice.

Would not go back to a Grand Palladium resort again. Poor service at every point of the resort, unable to make dinner reservations, stray cats roaming, rooms needed a lot of renovation, and child had food poisoning. Would not suggest to anyone -
