Riu Palace Macao - Adults Only - All Inclusive

This is our third time staying here & we would go back again. The beach is expansive, with lots of palm trees so there's always as much sun or shade as you'd want & lounge chairs are never an issue. The staff are so friendly & accomodating. There is a wonderful variety of delicious food...(I love fish, & there was always a different selection of freshly grilled seafood everyday). Instead of lots of loud music on the beach, you'll relax to the sound of the waves, punctuated by the friendly staff offereng to deliver a cool drink. We love it!

I am writing to formally lodge a serious complaint regarding the discriminatory treatment I experienced at the beach volleyball court on Jan 23rd and the subsequent failure of your management team to address the issue. The Incident: During my stay, I participated in the beach volleyball activities organized by the hotel. One of your staff members (the activity coordinator with dreadlock) repeatedly and unfairly picked on me, criticizing my play in a manner that was not applied to any other guests. It was evident that this was not about the rules of the game, but a targeted and biased attitude toward me. Management’s Failure to Follow Up: What makes this experience even more unacceptable is the lack of accountability from your management team. I reported this specific incident to the management desk on two separate occasions. With the manager named Diamond. Both times, I was promised a formal response and a resolution. However, I have received zero follow-up to date. This neglect is a clear indication that my concerns—and the issue of discrimination—are not being taken seriously by Riu Palace Macao. Being targeted by staff and then ignored by management has significantly distressed me and ruined the vacation I traveled from Ottawa to enjoy.

The front desk staff Robert was rude and I asked for an upgraded twice and he never looked he just said no. My husband wasn’t happy about his room and he called and they wanted to charge me the double the price. Also they don’t tell you nothing about the hotel nor do they give you a map. You have to ask the staff where things are. Also the food is terrible. The cleaning people come to your room twice a day when the hotel supposed to be full that don’t make sense. I will not recommend this hotel to my enemy. The also stated they was going to send a birthday cake with balloons to the room. Never received it

The food was disgusting, barely even edible. The room was infested with ants and other sorts of bugs, unclean, and smelled horribly of mildew regardless of how long we left the door open. All of our clothes now smell horribly of this mildew smell and we’re left damp.

Everything, except Sport Bar (Need more attention), was super amazing; I recommend and I’ll definitely comeback with my family. The Food was 1-A (EXCELLENT) the service very, very friendly, the hotel, his installation and rooms very clean; the other’s Bars very nice, the animation staff very funny, entertaining and friendly. The Disco super 🥰🙏 In short, I was left crazy, delighted and I’ll comeback next summers 🏝️ ☀️

We wished the pools were better maintained and cleaned more regularly. The swim up bar was fun but the pool attached to it made us not want to go in. We also wish there were more food options on the room service menu.

The beach was very accessible and attractive. Staff welcoming and friendly. Excellent resort. Bar service was timely.

Everything was perfect, only thing would be room servive ( food) was not hot or even warm thats all. Maybe more options for breakfast other than the buffet

We had travel delays, tried to contact the property and they weren't sure they'd have a room for us, saying we were a no-show. We just were informing them we would be delayed, and the lady on the phone said "We can't help you with that," and nearly hung up. When we arrived, the internet kept dropping us for the first several days, and our key cards kept locking us out of our room. We were quite frankly really exhausted from a busy month of work and just wanted a break, but between flight complications, and the resort not helping us, and fiddly frustrations once we arrived, this was just a messy couple of days getting there and getting situated... Once we got settled in though, we started to enjoy our time, but we were not overly impressed and said we would likely try another resort on a next visit to the DR.
