Our Travel Agent had originally booked the Colosseum hotel, which is just next to the Grand Gloria. When the TA called the Colosseum to reconfirm the booking they were advised that both swimming pools and the spa facilities were out of action and had been for the whole of June. We were offered alternative accomodation at the Grand Gloria and we were very happy with all of the facilities at the hotel as well as the service offered. It's in a good location and within walking distance from numerous restuarants and there is a shopping mall immediately across the road.

Friends who book a room, this hotel has only 5 floors, and the first floor is like living in a basement. I stayed for 3 nights in a row, I was given the first floor, and it was fine to change to the 5th floor. Breakfast is 66 lari per person. The service staff was very nice, they helped us move the bed in case my son would fall off the bed. The coffee and juice on the first floor are delicious. The spa is different from domestic ones, very comfortable, around 500. Opposite is the coastline. I go to see the sea and take a bath after breakfast every day. It is very close to McDonald's. After the hotel turns right, there is a well-known local restaurant on the first floor of the hotel. The location is very good, but the room is not enough for five stars, but the service can be five stars!

The overall stay experience is still great. The price/performance ratio is also relatively high. Take a hundred meters to get to the beach. There is a bathtub, and the water is still quite hot. Hotel facilities are bit worn out and below expectation (e.g. yellow stains between bathroom tiles, leaking shower head, smudges of concrete over tiles, some scratches on wallpaper...). The pool is much smaller than it looks in the photos and the overall atmosphere of the pool was not what I expected, I think children were offered classes in swimming so it looked more like a swimming school pool rather than hotel pool for leisure. Also expect to be asked to wear head cover for swimming, if you want to get in the pool and this info is not communicated to guests before or during booking. Sauna and steam room are really good but this still does not make enough of value for what you pay.

In Las Vegas, the Black Sea in Batumi, this hotel is far from the hustle and bustle of the city, built by the sea, and has a panoramic view of the sea. There are pharmacies ATM local supermarkets, Indian restaurants, Ukrainian restaurants, Georgian restaurants, Georgian seafood restaurant lights in the surrounding area. But the hotel was renovated many years ago. It is slightly old, but the service of the service staff is in place and can ignore those old facilities.
