Eraora Hotel Village

Stayed there the week of Sept 16th for 4 days.We are all from Canada five of us so our Italian was non existent except for a few words.Found the young lady on the front desk Paula to be excellent, very helpful and friendly towards us...Her english was not great but we managed to get enough common words in to make it work. We found the 3 rooms we had to be spacious and very nice. The meals in the main dining room were good and were typical European fare. The hotel is very clean and the outdoors area's are fantastic with easy access to the beach .The Lemon chello spritzers at the bar were very good .For the price your not going to find anything better than this in that area. We toured Salerno and the Amalfi coast during our say and we found it was easy to get there by taxi .Overall well orth the money.

We arrived at check in and could clearly see this was not the hotel that appeared on the booking site. Extremely run down. They asked for full payment for 4 nights upfront, and an additional 70 euros per day for use of the facilities! Sharing my concerns with the nice girl at the front test she asked if I wanted to see our room first. Room 40. Pink walls four beds tightly squeezed, bathroom out of the 1960s, and the smell of mold It was worse than a youth hostel I once stayed in! They offered me another room, which was a little better. I agreed we would take it only because a refund was not possible, but we were genuinely ready to take the 1000 euro hit. Back at reception by this point, having paid only to be told we had to wear wrist bands throughout our stay to acees the facilities, a woman interjected. At first I thought she was coming to our defence, instead she began yelling at me telling me that I had done nothing but complain. I explained in Italian that it is not as appears on the booking site. To which she asked me to prove it. Of course, the internet was also crap, so we went through them on the hotel computer. She then marched me to room 40 again, I guess assuming a miraculous makeover had occurred in the 15 minutes since my last visit. Yelling at me and berating me she said she didn't want us in her hotel and agreed to return our payment. We dodged a bullet.
