I was stuck in Baton Rouge during the first snow storm of the century. I had the insight to get food and wine for two days. I was there to visit family. They were caught up in their world. I was on my own, except I had the Residence Inn staff on my side. Good grief, as usual, they were off the charts! Everyone from the breakfast setup person, Petra, to the maintenance man were on my side. Jeanette, the manager, as always, set the tone for the building because she is so kind and competent. All of her staff rocked and rocks! Nae at the front desk has a voice of an angel and personality to match. The sales director, Stacy, covered the desk as required and is so nice/competent. OK, here is the review. The place could use some updates but the heart of the place is amazing. Plus, you are 8 minutes from Whole Foods and decent shops by foot. The rooms are very nice. The breakfast is excellent. I was so happy to be stuck here for a snow storm. It was not my first stay, so I know they are outstanding every day of the week.

Typical Residence Inn with a mix short term and longer stay guests. The staff was fabulous and very helpful. Loved the location as it’s close to good restaurants and an easy drive into downtown without getting on IH 10. Some of the common areas showing wear with peeling wall paper. Room was very comfortable and clean. No EV chargers on site. All in all, would return to this hotel.

The hotel is in need of a refurbishment. The furniture is beat up . Every single thing of metal in the bathroom is covered in rust. The grout is stained and shower enclosure is stained. The room was not cleaned well. Large drips of food on couch arm and chair in bedroom. Crumbs on the floor under the desk and found a clothing tag on the floor next to the bed which if anyone would have cleaned it would have been easily seen. Generally not great and clearly needs some work.

What an amazing gal at the front desk. She was kind, funny and helpful! I did not get her name, but I would come back here especially because she was so sweet and friendly! The hotel was just as we expect from a residence Inn, clean, comfy beds and pillows and pretty guest areas to relax after a long day!

We’ve been coming here every year for many years — and it always remains consistently perfect. Everything you could ask for in a hotel is here: fitness room with free weights, machines, towels, stretching mats, water dispenser… clean and tidy laundry room (3 washers, 6 dryers)… ice machines adjacent… a sparkling outdoor pool/hot-tub… lighted and safe parking surrounding the property… walking distance to Starbucks, Whole Foods and an array of shops… fully-operational and speedy business center computer/printer… breakfast that features bacon, burritos, oatmeal, breads/bagels, yogurts, little milk cartons (fat free, too) and best of all, self-serve coffee out before the 6:30 start of breakfast. You will find absolutely delightful staffers throughout the hotel, eager to make your stay a great one. Thanks so much, GM Jeanette — of course you’ll see us back again!

I would recommend to skip this one. The hotel is old and smells awful. Definitely not Marriot standards. Dated and tired, sofa bed bedding sheets not provided in the room, had to go downstairs to get them, something good : ac was working properly. Will not be back.

We had rotten seafood left in our dishwasher, the bathroom door handle fell off and our suite that was paid for for two nights was filthy. We had four kids there for a dance competition. When checking in late at night and finding the level of cleanliness, we called the front desk and the woman working named Siri, told us there was nothing they could do for us, no one was working to clean our room, and there was no manager on shift for us to speak to. We physically had to go into the janitorial closet ourselves and get cleaning supplies to clean our dishwasher just to be able to stand the smell to sleep. We were told a manager would be calling us to take care of it the next day. We left the hotel at 7am for the day. When calling at 4:00 to see if our room had been cleaned and we were switching rooms, the woman working said our room was never cleaned because we did not ask, and there was no rooms available for us to switch. We were once again stuck in a filthy room. They were not going to comp our rooms when we asked. So after arguing about it, they offered a 50% discount for one night. We had to stop payment with our bank. This was a miserable experience and I would never recommend this hotel or their service.

New GM since our previous 3 visits here — and everything remains A+++ under new GM Jeanette. Thanks also to Sabina and Sarah who cheerfully helped us juggle our ever-changing itinerary. The grounds are fantastic and you can walk in any direction, especially the shopping plaza adjacent (Whole Foods, Starbucks). Breakfast is weekdays at 6 (6:30 weekends) and includes heated-up/packaged egg items, oatmeal with various toppings, yogurts, pitchers of milk (2% and fat-free), really, really good blueberry scones and packaged hard-boiled eggs. Fitness Room has free weights, machines, room for stretching, even a water-dispenser and towels. Laundry room, next to the first-floor gym, is clean and tidy ( coin-operated $2 washers, $1.25 dryers). Ice machine right there, too. We had the 2-Bedroom/2-Bath Suite with 2 tubs, screened windows that open for a breeze and plenty of room to spread out in. Just (another) perfect stay here. Good show, GM Jeanette! We can’t wait to return again to all this excellence!
