Close to major tourist spot (eg Roman bath, bath abbey etc), room is clean and close to grocery store (Waitrose & sainsbury). Toilet is fine (not as clean as what I expected and the floor is always wet), no hanger or hook in the showering room so can only put the exchange clothing in the floor. No kitchen but kettle, microwave and fridge are provided

Very good recommendation specially for solo travellers. Staffs were really good.

It's okay. I don't know why I charged two pounds.

It's pretty good among hostels. There are more people at night and it's a little noisy. It's located in the city center, which is very convenient for tourists. The only strange thing is that the reception desk is not in the same house as the hostel, but in a bar next to it, but it's still easy to find.

The conditions of the youth hostel are limited, you can check in at 3:00 pm, you can rent a small cabinet for 1-2 pounds on the ground floor (it is no problem to put a small suitcase and a bag), and then you can wander around freely Pick up your luggage. In the evening, I went to the downstairs bar to join in the fun. The clerk recommended me a cocktail that was not bad. It was great to chat and sing songs with other tourists!

The staff were so friendly, and the room was pristine. My only issue was that at night the room got incredibly warm, so it was quite hard to fall asleep. And the bathrooms could have been cleaner (blocked toilets and wet floors). Would recommend for a short stay !

Really awful staying. Noisy. Corridors and upstzirs ron pretty grin. To be fair my dorm was clean and warm and so was the shower when i used it. But honestly if you want ANY sleep just dont do it. Staff may have meant well but at time of going ill trained and didnt seem to get the systems. On leasing they charged my card rather than refunding the key deposit and it has taken 2 months of chasing to get this. Just à big no for location, professionnalism and most importantly lack of sleep

Having seen the previous reviews I was a bit nervous however on arrival it was a lovely little place, clean and airy and everything you could need including hair straighteners!! Staff were friendly and helpful and location is perfect! Cannot recommend enough and don’t be put off by the reviews about noise we slept perfectly with no disruption from downstairs!

I slept one night (25-26 November 2023), alongside with two friends. The location is perfect. The dormitories were fine, the temperature was perfect and the beds were clean and comfortable. However, the windows really need to be replaced, because they are way too thin, resulting in poor noise insulation. While I was trying to sleep, the dormitory was quiet, but I could not sleep well because of the noise coming from street (especially drunk people shouting loudly), which was as strong as if a window was wide open. The bathroom was perfect with showers, toilets and taps. It's the perfect deal if you want to visit Bath for one night or two, acknowledging that you will stay in the hostel only to sleep. I would also advise the hostel to tell its customers on the booking description that they bring a padlock with them to lock the storage cages located under the beds. Because on their own description they just say that they sell padlocks, but don't explain why. I always have one in my backpack, so I could lock my stuff, but it was not the case of my two friends, who therefore took their backpack in town with them.

I booked this hostel for a one night stay as I was visiting Bath for a wedding. I arrived there after the wedding at around 11pm, and realised as I came to check in that I had forgotten to bring ID with me. The staff refused to let me in because of this, despite the fact that I was a solo female traveller with nowhere else to stay. I think this is hugely disproportionate, I had the card I paid with and the booking confirmation. Money lost and had to fork out another £40 for a last minute train ticket home as nowhere else to stay at that time of night. Not wild about needing to make a 3 hour trip home at that time of night either. Don't know what I would have done had I lived much further away or missed the last train home.
