This was a brand spanking new hotel. The staff was friendly and very courteous. Covid precautions being taken very seriously. Good location with easy access. Cleanliness was spot on! Pool and patio with grills. Exercise room but it was closed due to Covid. The rooms after cleaning were sealed and the customer was the one to break the seal to help insure the rooms were sanitized.

After driving forever looking for a GOOD place to lay our heads after a long day and a half, I passed 2 or 3 other properties at this exit (for no particular reason) to come to this one. It was meant to be. We were greeted warmly by Kiwanis, who (thank God) informed us there was a vacancy. As luck would have it, we made it just in time before the restaurant closed. Food was ample and well-prepared. Following a good night's sleep in a nice, clean big room with high ceilings, returned to the restaurant for breakfast. Next met up with courteous LaPrecious at the front desk to add ANOTHER day to our stay as we were so happy there. Unfortunately so busy between Memphis and Clarksdale that we never made it to the pool, which upset my daughter, because it looked very refreshing. Front desk clerk (not LaPrecious or Kiwanis) would only give us a 30-minute later check-out as opposed to an hour, which was curious as they did not appear overly busy, but whatever.

If I could give them a 0, I would. I traveled home for my Aunts funeral to a property in Batesville, MS and booked the hotel for multiple nights. Got in late and it took over 20 minutes for me and my family to be put in a room. After the 4th or 5th time of the key not working to the room, the desk attendant finally went up and opened the door. No big deal, after driving 8 hours we all were tired so no big deal. At 2:30 in the morning, I wake up to my arm feeling like it was on fire, and this what was found when I turned on the lights. The bed bud was taken down to the front desk, the attendant verified and apologized and I was told I would get a $30 comp and told that I could talk to the manager April then next morning, Thursday of my aunts funeral. The manager was rude. Gave me a long spill about her hands being rude and there’s nothing she could do when I only asked to be comped for the one night. She denied. I informed her I was from out of state and she wanted me to wait until Monday until Pest Control came in to verify the room had bed bugs. What more does one need? I told her there was no way I could wait until Monday being that I was leaving back out Sunday the 1st. I asked for a refund. Nothing, so I had to find other arrangements for my family to stay and missed my aunts funeral. I’ve requested my money back several times, both through the 3rd party app and she’s denied it, so I filed a complaint with CORPORATE and Cynthia tells me again it’s denied and that a they have to stick by the hotel decision. MARRIOT? IS THIS HOW YOU TREAT YOUR CUSTOMERS AND DO BUSINESS? I only asked for one night to be comp, I booked for 3. I WANT MY MONEY BACK. The next step is me going through my bank. I tried to be reasonable. This happened at the end of December, it is now JANUARY 18th, 2022. I was told by Cynthia who supposed to be a Supervisor that I could call Maryland to speak to someone, because there was also nothing she can do, but the number she gave me was the same number I was talking to her own. Make it RIGHT!
