Absolutely beautiful! We stayed here for a long weekend to celebrate my dads 60th birthday. I had let the staff know before hand and asked if there was anything they could do to decorate the lodge. When we arrived they had put balloons and banners up, there were bottles of beer, a bottle of Prosecco, free snacks and a little game to play. It helped make the weekend that much more special. The lodge was immaculate and the hot tub so well maintained with incredible views. The lodge is so well equipped. We stayed in the absolute pet lodge number 53. We will definitely be coming back here for family holidays. Thank you for an amazing weekend.

We've visited here for the past 5 years and its just the best location for a quiet and relaxing family holiday. Right on the side of the lake and with views that never disappoint regardless of the weather. This time we stayed in the Broadness Lodge (sleeps 6 and one of the more updated lodges). This lodge is as close to the lake as you can get and right on the edge of the park. Everything was ready on arrival and the lodge was clean and comfortable. Park team have always been great. A couple of tips - Fishing isn't that good on-site unless you can get a boat. The lake is shallow around the edges (around .5m) and you can't practically get out to the deeper water. - The 'named' lodges seem to be more modern and generally better all around e.g. Broadness and Mockerin. - The Sun Inn in Bassenthwaite is good. In Keswick - The Round burger restaurant is cracking - can't book but worth the wait. - Lodges we've stayed in always have basic surface cleaner, dishwasher tabs and clothes. - If you can get one with a hot tub - honestly it's worth it to sit out and enjoy the views in a warm tub after a long walk. - If you are planning on doing walks then consider joining the National Trust as many of the car parks are run by them and you get free parking as a member. Otherwise, you can expect a day rate of at least £8.50 (minimum change is £5 for a couple of hours). Most car parks have card readers but don't rely on using the apps as phone reception can be hit or miss in the more remote car parks.

We booked this lodge for the intention of staying on site, chilling, the hot tub + having the time to watch some TV. Kids park closed, the WiFi was down the whole stay, hot tub lid was broke-hard to lift on + off. LOTS of rules here, felt unrelaxed

Beautiful lodge in a perfect setting. Everything appeared brand new. It has everything you need and then some! Exceptionally clean and tidy. Cannot fault it at all. Milk in the fridge, tea/coffee starter pack, together with drinks and snacks. What more could you ask for! The staff both on the telephone and on site are really friendly and nothing is any bother. There's even a small play area for the little ones on site, dvds available to loan from reception. They really do cater for all your needs. We had a fantastic holiday (despite storms and power cuts!). Cannot wait to visit again. One of the best lodges/sites I've been on in over 30 years of visiting the Lakes. Thank you for a lovely holiday! Looking forward to booking with you again!

Arrived with hubby to celebrate his 70th birthday, to find our lodge trimmed with banners & balloons plus goodies for him (wine, crisps, chocolates) and also goodie bags for our dogs. So grateful to the staff for making it feel special. The lodge was lovely & warm, lamps lit making it feel extra cosy. Everywhere clean & tidy & the staff we met where very friendly & informative. Such a fabulous short break.

Brilliant stay at Bassenthwaite Lakeside Lodges. Booked for a birthday trip for my partner. Emailed prior to enquire regarding balloons. Arrived to find balloons, banners, beer, Prosecco with chocolate treats and card game at no charge which was lovely to arrive to. Very dog friendly, dogs have their own welcome pack including bowls, towels, blankets and treats. Our dog also loved the dog walking field. Lodges very clean, spacious and modern and staff very friendly. Close proximity to Keswick and close enough drive for day trips to other areas. Have recommended to family & friends and will definitely be back for another trip. Thank you!

Attended Bassenthwaite Lodges with family members in celebration of anniversaries and birthdays and we were made to feel very welcome by park managers / organisers Chris and Jean along with support staff. The lodges were an excellent standard and location, so much so my wife and I have booked again on returning home and all other family members intend to do likewise.

We have just returned from the Dower House, lakeside lodges in Bassenthwaite. A beautiful 5 bed house, over looking the lake. 5 beautiful bedrooms, 2 amazing hot tubs, a super large kitchen and dining room. Games room and comfortable lounge with log burner fire! Has literally everything you need for a wonderful family break in the beautiful Lake District. Lovely walks close by. Less than 10 minutes drive into Keswick. Wonderful stay, will definately return. The lodges on site looked great too.
