Premier Inn Barrow-In-Furness

Like others have mentioned, despite advertising that the family rooms have air conditioning/air cooling, it does not work! This is an older premier inn and the rooms are very dated. We stayed in a family room, 2 adults and 2 kids in summer and it was unbearably stuffy! The air con is running but it is just blowing out warm air! 4 people in one room where you can’t open a window either! Honestly, don’t book here. Staff are aware this is an issue but there is nothing they can do. Head office - sort this out!!!! Unacceptable for families paying good money for a very poor experience. Don’t stay at this hotel. TIP: we stayed at Ulverston Premier Inn and this was MUCH better. Air conditioning was ice cold!

Just a one night stay,check in was fast & friendly,we were in room 207,roomy,spotless & very comfy,we had a great meal at the accompanying pub before an excellent night's sleep,staff were marvellous! The car park was free but the following week was changing to a paid for car park

We had a perfect nights stay. In fact we slept so well we overslept! The room was clean and comfortable with the usual tea/coffee making facilities and hairdryer. The aircon was quiet, easy to use and kept us nice and cool during the current heatwave. The breakfast was good value and we had an evening meal in the restaurant which we thoroughly enjoyed.

You get a friendly welcome and you know what to expect with Premier Inn rooms. Our room was as you would expect; clean and tidy and with enough space to store your things for a stay of a few days. The air conditioning was welcome because the weather was warm & muggy, the basic wifi was good enough four basic needs and the mobile signal was better than we expected too. The Barrow hotel is in a great spot, handy for the town centre and with plenty shops & food outlets around it if you need or want them. The Brewers Fayre is great for brekky and for your meals too, with plenty of choice & decent portion sizes for the meals - my battered fish was huge! The combination of aircon, great beds and quiet surroundings meant that we had no problem sleeping during our stay & we wouldn't hesitate to book this hotel again if we're visiting the area. A special mention to the friendly and helpful staff, from reception to cleaning staff and Brewers Fayre staff a big Thank You" to you all.

Great service from the team again. Frequently stay at this hotel and the team always look after you well. Special mention to Amy who is always cheerful and smiling. Really makes a difference. Keep up the good work.

Very friendly staff both in the hotel and pub. Our room spotlessly clean. Restaurant had plenty of choice and the staff were lovely. Had everything we needed.
