Although the room is a bit small, it is still very clean and tidy. The boss's breakfast is especially delicious. The only thing I can't get used to is that the bed is too soft

We stayed in Glenco on our 1st night of holidays in Tasmania from Ireland. It was the highlight of all the places we stayed over 3 weeks. Glenco is in a lovely setting with a working farm with flowers, gardens, animals, green fields all around you. The rooms are beautiful and very comfortable. The breakfast was 1st class, a real treat. We ate in a sunroom closely observed by a group of chickens. I would love to have stayed another day and night. Do arrive early and enjoy relaxing outside and walking the grounds.

We had the pleasure of staying at Glencoe for three nights and we had a wonderful time. We had the blue room and the bed was super comfy and the room was overall very quiet. Even with other guests staying we didn't hear a thing. The room is well appointed with a fridge, tea and coffee maker and a bluetooth speaker as well as all the other expected amenities. The bathroom is a little on the small side but the room is otherwise very spacious and comfortable. Irene and Russ are the most gracious hosts. It was a pleasure to meet them and hear about life on the working farm. Russ was even gracious enough to give us tips of places to eat and the best routes to take as we explored the area which we really appreciated. It's always nice to meet a fellow foodie and we had one of our best days in the area due to his advice. Irene is a genuinely kind soul and we loved how much she loves her animals. Breakfast each morning was genuinely brilliant. We don't usually get breakfast where we're staying as we like to explore local restaurants but we had breakfast each morning at Glencoe because it was so good. Freshly baked croissants, the most delicious mushrooms I've ever had and barista coffee. Add to that the pleasure of seeing chickens running around in the gardens it all just made for a lovely stay. If you are thinking about staying here I would encourage you to do so. It's a real gem!

Irene and Russell are amazing hosts who ensured our 3-night stay at Glencoe B & B was unforgettable. Our rooms were beautifully furnished and very comfortable. In our daughters' room, Russ split the bed into two singles. Each room is heated and has an ensuite stocked with quality towels and toiletries, and the living and dining areas have wood fires which was very appreciated as the temperatures dropped. We enjoyed sitting by the fire (with Howard the cat ^-^) playing games and reading books each evening enjoying a very impressive cheese platter created by Russ. Breakfast was amazing - fresh croissants, fresh fruits and cooked breakfast...made to order and of the highest quality. As we were visiting NW Tasmania for the first time, Russell gave us detailed itineraries and suggestions for each of our day trips including where to dine. This was invaluable and made our days out so much easier. Irene took us on a tour of the farm, and we had the pleasure of handfeeding the highland cows and meeting the newborn lambs! The gardens are beautiful - our girls enjoyed walking around meeting the free-range hens and ducks each afternoon. Irene and Russ are both very warm and hard-working people who go out of their way to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. We enjoyed their company very much and would definitely stay again.

The very best B&B. Every need pandered to. Wonderful breakfast, cooked included. Coffee machine for guests use at all times. Irene was wonderful doing some laundry for us. Dinner can be arranged on enquiring. Lovely farm surrounds, free range chickens, lambs, cattle, goats. We missed seeing Howard the farm cat. Would totally recommend.

On arrival to Glenco we were informed by the acerbic Ross that we were ‘out back, in the Office’! My disappointment soon turned into appreciation when we discovered a delightful self contained unit, with views of the goat enclosure and the geese. And a barbecue. We still had access to the established gardens, with large beautiful trees (the Douglas fir is huge), roses aplenty, fruit trees and lots of nooks to explore. The chickens, ducks and Highland cattle and Howard, the cat, just added to - for us - the most relaxing, satisfying stay. Irene and Ross are great hosts, and made our stay memorable. Offering to source the lamb for our intended barbecue was an added, appreciated bonus. The chops were delicious. Highly recommend a visit here.

We stayed one night at Glencoe B & B in Barrington, Tasmania. The setting is beautiful, the room impeccable, beautifully furnished, comfortable and clean. The ensuite was perfect for us. The breakfast was amazing and Irene was a fount of information and willing to help. However we felt the welcome left a lot to be desired. Russ was grumpy and short and remained so even the next morning when we were leaving. You really felt like guests were a pain and an inconvenience to him. Apparently the power had gone off in the night and one of the guests (not us) had contacted him. He was scathing that a guest had done that even though we received a text encouraging us to contact them if we needed anything. His attitude really left a sour taste and made us feel like we were an unwelcome guest in the house. But overall it was a comfortable place to spend a night even if we were happy to leave in the morning.

Stayed 1 night. Just beautiful! The bed was so comfortable, room immaculately clean, Irene was so welcoming. Loved wandering around the grounds, beautiful gardens, and chooks, ducks around, so nice. We were able to take our 15 yr old pug with us which was great - she slept all night, which she never does! Lovely to have our towels with a choccie and our pups towel with a smacko! Breakfast the next morning was just amazing! Biggest croissants you will ever see - made by the hosts! Stunning views, so quiet! Highly recommended!
