Wanted to write a fair review. We stayed here for a cheap overnighter. The room and shared bathroom facilities were clean and warm, bed was comfy. If you aren't expecting luxury it's fine. However, we stayed in #6 and there is a hole in the floor right in front of the washbasin covered by carpet. The TV had no remote and kept changing channels by itself. The kettle had to be moved to the only plug by the side of the bed to be able to use it. An extension lead would be helpful. Pack earplugs as there is noise from downstairs. A little paint job and some new curtains would make all the difference. More comprehensive instructions for getting out in the morning would also have been helpful.

Visited The Coach and Horses this weekend. Had a lovely few hours. Very clean , friendly and welcoming staff. The young manager is a credit to the place very professional , chatty , polite and attentive to customers. And a great team of staff. Drinks are reasonably priced and food was very good also. Would definitely recommend a visit if you are in the area..great atmosphere and cosy setting. Huge beer garden at the rear also for warmer weather.

We arrived at the property at 12.20 to find it still closed even though it should’ve opened at 12. This wasn’t a problem as check in wasn’t until 2 pm. After being taken to our room by the polite manager Patrick we tried to settle in. Upon further inspection, we found the plug hole was dirty, a pillow case missing, floor hadn’t been vacuumed, a stained stool, and a vile , disgusting plate covered in dust and hair. After informing the manager, he moved us to another room. This was also dirty as I ran my finger across a table and it was covered in dust. I am aware that the property is a cheap place to stay, but cleanliness is surely a basic necessity. We have stayed here several times in the past and never had a problem, however this is now under new management, and they may be inexperienced. He tried to fix the problem, but it appears that the place is being neglected. I was told that they had an outside company to do the cleaning. Sadly it appears that nobody is doing it. We won’t recommend this place as we won’t return

The young lad behind the bar was very welcoming, great selection of lagers and ciders, they even did food which we didn’t know about until we arrived, great place for a drink and a great atmosphere, the food was perfect, the katsu curry was unreal and lasagne looked very nice, will be returning

Went to have a drink with my partner at approximately 7:00pm on a Saturday. Walked in and ordered a drink, sat down and within 5 minutes we decided that there was absolutely no way we would be getting a second drink. A group of really loud, rude young people sat up near the bar, and they were absolutely obnoxious. Swearing and shouting, no regard for any other patrons. My partner commented that it seemed like a few of them may have been under the influence of *****. The pub was cluttered with empty glasses and no tables had been wiped. Once we had been served the bar staff just disappeared and no effort was made to clean and tidy the pub. We left shortly after with absolutely no intention of returning. 0 stars!
