A truly wonderful Boutique B & B, overlooking Barmouth Bay with spectacular panoramic views. Clean, modern, friendly with spacious well decorated rooms. We had a sea view deluxe room with a game changer of a bathroom, top notch suite with a free standing bath, walk in shower and state of the art Japenese electric toilet. Staff and hotel owner all hands on and made to feel like nothing was too much. Highly recommend!

We arrived to a pleasant welcome from the girl at reception and were given the keys to room 9 which is on the second floor, on opening the door we were greeted by the most magnificent view of the estuary and in the distance Fairbourne. The room itself was of standard size and could be made into a twin or double (This you can indicate when booking). The bathroom was very nice and the shower was always warm with no waiting at all for it to warm up. The absence of a lift may make the two flights of stairs out of reach for some people but if you can manage that your view will be spectacular from the room, although I was led to believe that rooms on the lower floor are just as good with regard to the view. There are around 4-5 choices for breakfast (perhaps more on request) and once again these are very nice as my wife and I between us chose to try most of them. We encountered a very pleasant member of staff at breakfast (Clare) who gave us many tips on what to do and where to eat during the evening advising us to book especially if we were to stay again more in season. Although my wife and I found no real downside to this hotel a true review would not be that if I did not mention the very steep hill (Panorama Road) that leads to the establishment and could make it very difficult for some that have a walk into the town, a taxi back might be advisable if you are unsteady on your feet. All in all a most pleasant five days spent here and would certainly return again. Thanks to all the staff that we met here you were most pleasant and professional.

Just got back from an amazing stay at the Bae Abermaw- stayed in room 6 at the front. I mean the view! Great decor, all the facilities you would expect, hairdryer, amenities, looked like brand new bathroom. Stunning views across the estuary. Beautiful room, fantastic hosts. Couldn’t fault it a great relaxed family stay 😍 Oh & great breakfast! Will be coming back!

Relaxing stay in tasteful, comfortable surroundings with lovely hosts. Great breakfast. So chilled out. Location is wonderful. The view from the breakfast room and the tables on the front lawn was amazing and we could have stayed there for ages. Nice shower. Very comfortable beds.

Stayed at Bae Abermaw for two nights for a birthday getaway. The hotel is in a fantastic position and the views are amazing. The staff were very friendly and the car park was large and even if the hotel is full there is still plenty of room to park. If you have no mobility issues you can walk into Barmouth in a few minutes. The reception closes each day after the last new arrival checks in so make sure you have your key with you at all times because the door will lock then. There is a bar area which is very nice but not constantly manned so when reception closes, turns into an honesty bar. The breakfast was very good with help yourself continental breakfast and a toast machine, waitress then takes your order for hot food, unfortunately both mornings we were there, there was delivery issues and we couldn't try the Welsh rarebit or eggs benedict. We booked a standard double room, I didn't consider the views and just took it for granted but when we got to the room ( room 7)I realised my mistake, we were overlooking the car park, completely my fault but and it's a big BUT the Windows all had stick on frosting which meant you couldn't see out at all, now it may only have been a car park but I would sooner look at that than nothing, it felt like I was in a bathroom and there were three Windows like this, very claustrophobic and tended to make the room dark. There were no plug sockets anywhere near a mirror to plug in hair dryer etc and no overhead light in the bedroom only bed side lights also not a chair to sit on in the room only a small dressing table stool. The bathroom was very nice and modern but again no shaver plug socket. I wouldn't class this as 4* room but we were charged the full date for this room. They had made a mistake with our booking (even though we had booked over a month earlier) and it seemed to me that we had been placed in an overflow room ?? as the hotel was full. Overall we did enjoy our stay and would book again but definitely only a sea view room as they are not much more expensive. Ps to hotel please put a few lights near walkway from car park to front door as it was quite dangerous at night especially in the rain

Highly recommend! Gary and Stacey were our hosts whilst staying there and they were both super friendly, bubbly and attentive. Rooms are super comfy and clean! Our doggie approved! The whole hotel is so homely and the views are incredible! Sam in the kitchen makes an amazing eggs Benedict! Not one bad thing I can say about the hotel and service received. Honestly brilliant wish we could have stayed even longer! Definitely coming back! Thankyou stacey and Gary for all!
