Asanja Moru is all heart. The place is amazing, the hospitality is fantastic and the food is just perfect. I am a vegetarian and my husband is not, they made sure that both our meals were delicious, wholesome and beautiful. We were never kept hungry or waiting or bored. Whether waking up at 3 am with hot coffee for balloon safari, or hot lunch picnic baskets for game drives or making sure that there are hot water bottles in our beds so we get into warm beds, or Maasai stories by Moses or ensuring there are ‘No Bites’ with us all the time..everything was tasteful and so considerate. The staff managed by Bariki were always smiling and went out of the way to make sure we had a comfortable stay. When they got to know we were celebrating our 13th wedding anniversary, they planned a special dinner under the stars. The view from all the tents is beautiful and stay is so peaceful. The bonus is of course hearing the lions roar all through the night. Another key factor is that Asanja truly believes in sustainability. The camp is solar powered and they encourage sustainable stays.

We stayed for 3 nights, a family of five in two tents. The staff were fantastic, incredibly attentive. Cold towels were waiting on our return from each game drive. The nights were pretty chilly so we were given hot water bottles to take to bed. Food was excellent - hearty breakfast, plentiful packed lunches (we had a hot lunch watching the migration on one day) and high quality 3 course dinners. The tents were super comfortable with solar powered showers and proper beds. Couldn’t recommend this as a location for safari enough. Our safari guide was great fun and went to great lengths to make our safari memorable.

During our stay at Asanja, we had the opportunity to live in a tent for the first time. Adapting to tent living was essential, but we were fortunate to have all the comforts we needed, and the staff was attentive and ready to assist us. We visited in June, and although the weather wasn't overly hot, we made sure to take our showers before it got dark, as the camp operates on solar power (which I appreciated). Wi-Fi was only available in the lodge, not in the tents, which was a bit inconvenient initially, but I ended up appreciating the break from work and social media. In the evenings, the staff provided hot water bottles, which was a nice touch. Albert and Mosses, the staff members, were friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed spending time with them by the open fire they lit at night. It was a highlight for me! The best part of our experience was meeting our guide, Sharifu, who accompanied us throughout our 6-day safari (if you include the days he picked us up from the airport and dropped us off, it was 8 days in total). Sharifu made our trip truly special with his knowledge and wonderful personality. I can't express enough gratitude for his amazing service. We will miss you, Mr. Sharifu!

This was our favourite place that we stayed over our one month trip around Tanzania. The people were so welcoming and helpful, the accommodation was stunning and the food delicious. I honestly cannot fault this place. We ate under the stars one night and they provided packed lunches every day and helped us with any enquiries we had. I was genuinely sad to leave after four days here. Despite travelling around the Serengeti, we found more animals within five minutes of this accommodation than anywhere else. We saw 8 lions, several elephants, giraffe etc all on our doorstep and enjoyed private showers looking out into the Serengeti plains. If you are looking for a secluded magical place to stay, I can highly recommend this place.

After a long and amazing Safari day we arrived at Asanja Moru. Waiting to greet us with cool towels and a refreshment were Ramos and his lovely crew. This open air lodge over looking the grassy plains was comfortable and gave me a modern day feeling of “Out of Africa” We were the only couple there for 2 nights and didn’t want for anything. We were even treated with “bush babies” at night (a little secret) I appreciated the use of solar power, so if you can handle not having hot water late at night or early in the morning, this camp is for you. In addition to crickets, we laid in our tent listening to other animals at night; hyenas, zebras, elephants. Our “wake up call” was coffee served on our terrace. We were served 3 course meals each night and when my tummy wasn’t totally happy the cook made me just what I wanted. On our departure Ramos and his crew sent us off with a great version of Hakuna matata that warmed our hearts ❤️ This is the perfect lodge if you like privacy, individual service and a true safari glamping experience.

It’s an absolute gem. The moment we arrived, I went were amazed by the camp's stunning location amidst the Serengeti's breathtaking landscape. The campsite's strategic positioning allowed for spectacular views of the wildlife which provided an authentic safari experience. The accommodations were top-notch, luxurious tents were beautifully designed and well-appointed, providing a comfortable and cozy stay while still maintaining a sense of being close to nature. The staffs were exceptional in their hospitality and professionalism. They were warm, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable about the local wildlife and ecosystem. Their dedication to ensuring guests had a memorable stay was evident in every interaction. Dinning under the STAR ( Stargazing while having dinner) one of the standout features of Asanja, we were stunned by the dining experience. The food was delicious and with a wonderful blend of local and international cuisine. Asanja Moru has surpassed all our expectations. It is a retreat that provides a perfect blend of luxury and wilderness, making it an ideal choice for anyone seeking an authentic and unforgettable safari experience. I would highly recommend this campsite to anyone visiting the Serengeti.

If you are looking for a once in a lifetime experience book via Asanja Africa! We had the most amazing 3 days safari trip as a couple. Asanja helped us plan the vacation with pick up in Arusha for safari in Tarangire, Ngorongoro Crater and Serengeti. Furthermore, Asanja booked our flight from Serengeti air ***** to Zanzibar. During our 3 days we had a private car with our guide Sharifu who made our trip fantastic. He was great company and had lots of experience with spotting animals and stories about the wildlife. We will never forget our stay at Asanja Moru where we were woken up by lion roar and our Dinner under the stars. Food was great and service was the best. Value for money!
