I found this hotel among the vast number of hotels and camps in the Serengeti. I chose this hotel without a single review (only reviews from external websites). There was no problem with the camp itself, but the early communication with the camp group was unprecedented. Challenges, reasons: 1. The hotel’s process rules are somewhat complicated; 2. The time difference in language and ideas may also cause some distrust, which causes communication barriers; 3. Ctrip’s customer service can be said to make matters worse, with poor communication with hotel agents and a revolving door of customer service. To change, I described, explained, waited again and again, and then to no avail, and then I still had to solve it myself... And some of the hotel photos shown were not from this camp at all... Deducting one point is really very polite of me.

This is an incredible tent hotel! It is so well run by Patrick who has the best attitude which is evident in his staff. Everyone is so friendly and helpful that your every wish is granted. They celebrated my 27 yr old daughter’s birthday with a rousing conga line sung in Swahili. Do yourself a favor and go there if you plan to be in the Serengeti. Shout out to Anthony, Rebecca, Vase, the kitchen staff and security. Beautiful people! You guys are a treasure❤️

We had a fantastic 4 night stay at the Ole Serai Tented Lodge. It has a great location in the middle of Serengeti- no fences and near a water body which means that all kinds of animals are walking around all night! We heard Lions and Hippos a few nights roaring and grunting - what an amazing experience! I would.classify this as glamping accommodations. Our tents had a bathroom with hot water, comfortable bed and wi-fi! There is a tented lounge area and bar and also a separate tented big dining room. The service staff led by Pascale and Phillipe were very friendly and attentive and kept the drinks and food flowing! We had a few vegetarians in our family and they went out of their way to have extra veggie options. We celebrated New Years with singing, dancing and drinking with the staff!

。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。 Overall, the experience was very good with many surprises. We were originally expecting that the tent hotel in the grassland would have poor conditions, but upon check-in, we found that the conditions were as good as other luxury hotels. The 3-day stay was especially comfortable and enjoyable, and it was the most unforgettable place to stay during our trip. 。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。 Accommodation experience: The facilities were fully equipped, and the rooms included a private bathroom and shower room. The curtains could be pulled open to overlook the outdoors, and there was also a restaurant, bars, and outdoor camp fire area within the hotel's garden. The room had excellent measures against insects and animals, as there were no insects in the room when we arrived(which was a rainning day and much insects outside). The night was also protected by a separate cover, which not only protected our privacy but also prevented animals from entering. We were woken up by the sound of birdsong in the morning and animals' calls in the evening (the security guard said maybe lions and hippos), really was a very special experience and made me feel like sleeping in nature, very unforgettable. The surrounding scenery was also very good, and we could sometimes observe animals using telescopes, as well as small animals such as monkeys, rabbits, and squirrels in the park, very cute. 。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。 Meals: The lunch provided by the other hotels was a lunch box, but our hotel had hot dishes that were served in heat preservation boxes. We had lamb fried rice, beef, chicken curry, Italian pasta, etc., which were especially delicious. It was unexpected to enjoy these delicious food in the outdoors. The dinner was even better, and each day's menu was different. The soup was especially delicious, and the salads were also very distinctive and local. The only downside was that there were a few desserts that were too sweet. 。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。 Safety: There were many security guards patrolling the boundaries of the park, and security guards will accompanied us if we want go outside during nighttime. The tents were of sturdy materials and had zipper locks and opaque curtains, making them safer. 。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。 Transportation and travel: The location of our hotel was relatively good, easily accessible in different direction Safairs, and the airport was not far away. However, be careful not to ignore a road with plenty of flies near our hotel, and remember to keep windows closed to prevent them from entering. 。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。 Special experience: Our room did not have a phone, so all communication with friends and hotel staff was through radios. This was a very interesting experience as we and our friends could easily communicate via radios in real-time. Additionally, our last night, the staff prepared a farewell bonfire dinner for us, where all staff of the hotel joined in singing and providing farewell cake to us, which was extremely touching.

Right in the heart of the Serengeti, the luxury tents were like no other. The views were out of this world - sunrise and sunset. We had a giraffe come right up to our tent. It was all very safe with the lovely Masai people taking care of us.

Wonderful and stunning Lodge with view of elephants! We stayed there in January and enjoyed the very romantic, big and clean tents! The whole Lodge is lovely designed in the middle of the NP,. it also has a fire place and a nice dining room. In daytime you can see zebras and elephants very close to your tent, a unique experience. The stuff is incredibly friendly and helpful, you feel always safe. The food was very nice, we could also choose for African food (chapati, Ugali), which we can really recommend! We did a tour to Serengeti NP, where you can spot cheetah, lions and elephants….just to name a few. All in all: very recommendable lodge!

You can even hear wild animals behind the tent, we had an amazing experience with a giraffe coming near by tent in the morning:) Super friendly staff, a big shout out to Stanley, my African “brother” for taking care of us❤️ We have only beautiful memories. Thank you for this experience to all Ore Serai team ! Big hug to all of you! Tomas and Anna

Stayed here for 2 nights with absolutely no complaints. Nice sized private tents, good beds, hot water showers, working toilet right in your tent all made for a very comfortable stay. They also have good wifi in your tent. The wonderful staff, friendly bartenders and excellent restaurant made Ole Serai one of my fave camps on our safari. It's absolutely amazing watching the giraffes and elephants roam just feet from your tent porch.
