This is the 6th time we have stayed at The Point Resort.We have always found our unit to be spotlessly clean,very well equipped,extremely comfortable & with great ocean views. Many thanks to the managers Sharon & Craig for their very friendly,pleasant & proficient hospitality. A GREAT place to stay & we will return.

Once again we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Point Resort - very well appointed & spotlessly clean apartment overlooking the ocean - great facilities & well located. Very friendly & helpful staff & a special thank you to the managers Sharon & Craig who meticulously maintain the resort to a high standard. We look forward to a return stay. Fully recommend.

Great location and friendly staff Clean comfortable accommodation with a fantastic panoramic ocean view. I stayed 8 nights and really enjoyed my stay. Would highly recommend . Location was quite with easy beach access.

My room was right next to entrance and I cannot sit in the lunge as everyone walk pass looked through. The room was rather than called ocean front as cars are parking right in front of my room and trees blocked the whole ocean view. It is ground floor after all. I didn’t feel safe as the room right facing the street and even after locked the screen door, it was still doesn’t provide me any security. After window has been shut at night time, the whole room smells very bad. It is unbearable. Bathtub was dirty, there are hairs and things. No rails for you to climb out of the shower, good luck! At the night time, the light was too dimmed and very unpleasant. However, the corridor light was bright enough as it is shined the whole night through short curtain to the bedroom with mirror reflections next to the bed. The linen smells moulded. The hardest part is when I’m dealing with the staff, I asked to change rooms or check me out,however they ask me to wait to see if after 10 am there is someone checkout. They offered me to change to a non ocean view room but refuse to adjust the rate accordingly. I have to leave this horrible room as I initially booked for 5 days and the room is not meet the standard at all. So the resort charged me two night as I didn’t check out before 10, even I went to seeking for assistance at 8:45am!!!! It is not a 4 star hotel and I have already filed a complaint to get my money back for the night I didn’t even stay. I would never booked this place if I knew the room like this.

The resort is looking tired and dated. We paid $330 for one night in a 1 bedroom sunset view room (Room 210), which was the last room available. The room was motel standard, not worth what is being charged. The bed was small (double) and the mattress was very basic. The pillows were very old and flat, which is okay for a cheap motel but not at this price point. The room was furnished nicely and was mostly clean. However the bed head had a lot of big stains on it, as did the carpet. The carpet was ripped / frayed in multiple areas, and there were hairs in the bed. The couch had a blanket over the seat cushions, I wasn’t game to see what that was hiding. If it was $150 per night I’d be okay with it, but not for $330.

I’ll start with the positives. Service is lovely. The staff are very efficient and friendly. The outside of the place looks good. Location is great. Unfortunately as soon as you step into your room it goes down hill fast. Cockroaches on the floor. Carpet is ripped and stained. There is tape holding down cords that is lifting. The bathroom has cracks in the basin, visavle water leaks. The pillows have literally no stuffing left, the bed had 1 sheet on top - made for uncomfortable nights sleep. There are doors missing from the bedroom leaving the place visable to the construction workers outside. The lights barely light anything, so you close the blinds for privacy but you can’t see what you’re doing. Very disappointed- especially when paying $350 for a 1 bed apartment mid week - when it’s actually a studio apartment and delapidated.

fantastic location just across the road from the ocean, clean spacious rooms, underground lock up carpark. On site manager was very helpful with any enquiries or supplying us with dishwasher tablets . Very impressed with The Point Resort, would recommend it totally.

It looked nice at first but after about 15 minutes you notice the dirty dusty smell in the carpets and what was found under the lounge cushions was pretty gross and no vacuum cleaner to be found. It had a Spa bath but you would need an hour to fill the tub as the water pressure was non existent.

Room on the 3rd floor Very disappointed as this was advertised as a 4 Star accommodation, absolutely not The whole room had a very mouldy and musty smell as soon as you walked in. An inch thick dust on the tv in the bedroom, rusty dirty shower frame and bathroom very dark and dingy Smeary marks on the microwave and glass wardrobe mirror doors, The whole place just feels dirty The air con unit on balcony rusted with rust patches on the balcony from water leakage,what looks to be newly Reno inside looks incomplete and very patchy. Stains on the curtains which look to have been there for awhile. We will not be back and the price of this accommodation is outrageous for the standard of the place…. All furniture and appliances are of very cheap quality Pictures do not reflect the room we were in for sure.
