Family-friendly Hotels in Barcelona Province

Great hotel, close to airport, but not central. Great breakfast, had a child’s bed made up for our arrival. Room was a nice size, had everything we needed and a great bathroom with a bath & shower. Breakfast ticked the boxes. Overall, 5/5.

Hotel Miami is located in a quiet yet central area, just 5 minutes’ walk from both the beach and Calella train station. It offers a 24-hour reception, an outdoor swimming pool and a buffet restaurant.All rooms are air-conditioned. Many rooms have a balcony overlooking either the pool or the street. Rooms also have satellite TV and a private bathroom.Other facilities at this hotel include a snack bar and an outdoor terrace. Car rental services are also available.Numerous bars and restaurants as well as supermarkets can be found nearby.Barcelona Airport can be reached in about a 60-minute drive.

It’s a basic hotel located near the airport. Do note that the minimum taxi fee to reach the hotel is 21 euro from the airport but if using a taxi meter it’s only between 16-20 euros. There’s a train to the airport too. It’s true that there are mosquitoes in the area but I only found one in the room. There’s no amenities except for all in one shower gel in the bathroom. Interesting hotel concept on water recycling and using light from the sun to power the toilet lights. They are not for profit so it’s actually good to help them spread their intention to help people and the environment. Breakfast provided is very basic. Environment is nice as there’s a small garden. Receptionists are very friendly and helpful.

The staff are very friendly ＜3 We arrived really late as it was quite further location from the airport, but we felt very welcomed as soon as we walked in. The cleaning staff cleaned and made our bed every day and I had no complains! They were very helpful when we came to ask about transportation. The city itself was beautiful and we really enjoyed our stay :))

Firstly, it's too pricey and doesn't really offer good value. It feels very hot even after adjusting the temperature to the lowest setting (19 degrees Celsius being the lowest possible). The room is a bit old, and water flows out from the shower room while showering. The bathroom area is extremely dark. This package cost me around $6K HKD, and I can confidently say it doesn't compare well to other new 5-star hotels in Barcelona. The best thing about W is the bar/restaurant on the 26th floor. The staff is generally rude and impolite, possibly including some of the security staff. The reception staff assisting with check-in are also unfriendly, possibly due to a large number of guests waiting.

At first I thought the hotel was average after reading the reviews, but after checking in, it proved once again that it is worthy of being a Mandarin Oriental. The overall feeling is very comfortable. The magnetic field is very suitable for Oriental people. It is low-key and restrained but full of details. Good reviews. But I think the Michelin restaurant in the hotel is very average.
