Honestly, this place is a gem! Room 405 has the best panoramic views of the city/harbour and a beautiful terrace area on the roof for sunbathing. The staff were super lovely and polite, nothing was too much trouble. Ladies at breakfast were friendly and welcoming, the food was a good selection, however the hot food items sadly weren't hot (think cold bacon slices, warm eggs, warm beans) just about warm nothing more which by the time you've buttered your toast and started to eat its all cold. The room was super clean and comfy, room service was excellent, I requested more pillows and they arrived at my room within minutes. The hotel is centrally located for the city/harbour and for all the sightseeing. Beds are too hard for me but that's personal preference. I would definitely come back here again.

Great stay if you’re going on a cruise. Staff very friendly and helpful. Get the breakfast buffet - it was excellent and well worth it!

Everything perfect

I couldn’t go to the hotel because I was with Covid and I asked to change the date and they said they couldn’t do that because they hadn’t to anymore. I said if there was the possibility to give me the money back and they said no again. When I asked if I had to go they said yes. So that means they don’t care about the clients and their health. Of course I did not go because I am a responsable person and I think about others health.

It was close to the downtown area and the sea, and had good transport links. The room was spacious enough for all three of us to spread out our suitcases.

Nice room with a very large roof terrace (but watch out for seagulls, don't leave anything lying around) everyone very friendly and helpful

The hotel is well located, but it is obvious that it is very tired. The rooms are clean, the breakfast is good. Polite and friendly staff. The floor is very cold and there are no slippers - this is a minus. There is no kettle in the room - for me this is a minus. The safe is very small (there is no room for a laptop) and it is locked with a key, which you have to ask for separately and then carry with you everywhere - this is a minus.

Small, cool room. Everything works. Bed is clean. Stayed two nights. Highly recommend.

It feels somewhere between a motel and a hotel rather than a hotel. There was no view from the window, but the exterior wall was visible. Even with all the lights turned on, it was a dark room. I like dark places, but this is pitch dark. It's the first time I've seen a place that doesn't give you a bottle of water when you check in. It's okay. You can buy a bottle of water for 1 euro at a nearby Indian supermarket. Basel Hotel? It was cheap, but prices are very high these days, so if you want to go to a better place, you have to spend more money. I felt like I was in a museum because there was an old-fashioned hair dryer in the bathroom that looked older than my age. This was an opportunity for me to decide to bring a hair dryer with me. The location is close to Baselneta Beach and the subway station, and it's nice to have a bus stop right in front. It's close to the Picasso Museum and La Chinata Hoffman Bakery. This is a cheap hotel, right?
