El Avenida Palace

This hotel kicked off our wonderful Barcelona trip! We had a mix-up with our reservation dates, but decided to try our luck anyway. We were told there were no family rooms available, so my child went to look for another hotel nearby. About 15 minutes later, a front desk staff member came over to ask about our situation. My husband and I don't speak English, but luckily my child called at that moment, so they communicated for us. After understanding the situation, the staff member found us a double room to help us check in in the early hours. The next morning when we went to check out, they had already prepared the room we had originally booked for us! 👍🌹 We happily went off to explore. This hotel is really close to famous attractions like Sagrada Familia and Casa Milà. Plus, there's a shopping street just around the corner, which is super convenient.

The location is super convenient, with the subway and bus stops just a few steps from the entrance. We could even walk to Gaudi's Casa Milà. If I visit again, I'll definitely choose this hotel! 👍👍👍

Overall, it was okay. I only slept for a few hours, as I checked in very late. I called to ask if they could help me with a late check-out, but they firmly refused. In the end, I did check out late, and they charged me for it. Their attitude was very firm and unfriendly.

The facilities are very basic and have an old, musty smell. There's no toothbrush among the toiletries. You'd be better off finding a chain hotel.

The room seemed pretty clean. Facilities: Most basic amenities are provided, except for toothpaste, toothbrushes, and slippers. Bottled water was given on the first day of check-in. Hygiene: Okay. Environment: A bit noisy, not quiet enough. Service: You can leave your key at the front desk for safekeeping every time you go out, which is convenient.

Getting around is super convenient, as it's right next to the metro station. Casa Mila and Casa Batlló are within walking distance. Plus, the airport bus terminal is just a five-minute walk away. The hotel staff were warm and friendly.

I suspect there were bugs. Several of us got small bumps, like bites. Not worth the price.
