Oh where do I even begin. When a 4 star hotel can’t guarantee you access to a stable internet connection or a decent breakfast with vegan options or just basic electricity - that too for 700 pounds for 3 nights - does it still qualify as a 4 star hotel ? The only redeeming quality is the location. But at this price point and with such unreliable offerings I would strongly advise that you skip this sham of a 4 star hotel and pick one of the better reviewed 3 star hotel in the area. Rooms: The rooms have water damage marks and cracks on the walls. The marble on the floor in my room atleast was also cracked in multiple places. This place hasn't been looked and maintained. Oh and how can I forget - so you enjoy the symphony that is the constant noise of water rushing through pipes in the wall (probably everytime one of your neighbour uses the toilet - morning, late night doesn't matter)? If so, then you are in luck - ignore everything l've said and book this room. Noteworthy details: The only charging points are hidden under the desk in the room. Great thinking ! Why have them near the bed side table or on top of the desk ??! The fictional manager who has all the authority to make all the decisions was magically absent on all three days- and the staff has NOT been empowered to make the right decisions for the customer so consider yourself warned.

Great hotel, excellent location. Friendly and super helpful staff. Clean and organized rooms, I asked for a room with view and it did not disappoint. Breakfast is delicious and includes a variety of baked goods, fresh fruits, and hot food options. Only 15min walk from the beach, located in the Gothic Quarter, perfect for walking around and exploring Barcelona.

The good: Superb location, clean rooms, close to many of Barcelona’s must visit attractions. The not so good: No ramps or elevators from the street level to the reception level. So you must carry your luggage using the stairs. There is nobody to help you with your luggage. The reception is a one person operation. The rooms air conditioning/heating is centrally control. Be ready for a very hot or very cold room. The towels are few and low quality. If you need more towels go to the lobby and get them yourself. The breakfast is good but extremely simple. The rooms are very small and the shower is missing one glass door so be prepared for a very wet bathroom floor. The hotel is showing it’s age and needs to be remodeled soon. Pillows and mattress are hard.

Lovely 3 nights in this hotel. The location was really good and central. The staff were very friendly. A special mention for Daniela in the reception. She gave lots of recommendations about the city to visit and where to eat. Always smiling and very pleasant. Thanks Daniela.

Great place for travellers to base themselves when staying in Barcelona. Located in the Gothic quarter, lots of cafes, shops etc very close. Easy walk to hop-on-hop-off bus. Friendly staff, great rooms.

Location is the main feature of this hotel. It is excellently placed as there is a convenience store next to the hotel to buy any essentials. Very good food places and the metro are nearby. Staff is very friendly and willing to help with anything. However the room is very small for two persons and the wood for the closet needs to be replaced as it old.
