We arrived just after check-in time to find only two working at their reception desk. Each with guests and one ahead of us in line. We waited patiently for around 10 minutes as they slowly managed to complete the check in of one. In that time the line had grown with 8 more guests waiting behind me to check in as well. I was next to check in, or thought I was, but an additional check in person stepped up to another station to help. But instead of asking for the next one he just helped an impatient guest waiting off to the side instead, making me wait almost 20 minutes just to check in. And beyond just changing you for the room they take a deposit, which I never had happen to me before. I have had hotels put credit cards on file but not actual deposits on top of the room charge. After we got to the room, had a lovely view but the windows were very dirty and couldn’t even take good pictures from it. Then after getting back from going out and about we found the phone and tv were dead. So no room service available or entertainment in our room . I went down to the front desk and asked about it and they said the whole building was out and there was nothing they could do. After we went to bed we were awoken by a maintenance man at 12:30 at night asking to fix our tv. I told him we were sleeping. I was so upset they would even think to send someone at that time of night, when I didn’t even ask them to come, I could hardly sleep after that. I went to the front desk the next morning to ask them about resending the maintenance man back to the room while we were out but they explained the whole building phone and tv was still out. I then asked why they would send someone to fix our tv in the middle of the night. They had no explanation. As of our last night here still no tv, phone, or room service. They have no estimate on when it might come back. For what I thought was a higher end hotel their customer service is lacking and maintenance of their building sub-standard.

I really wanted to give a better rating, because I liked many things about it, but I will try to be as objective as possible. We are a family with a 2-year old kid. Our stay is relatively long (vacation). We chose this hotel mainly because of the impression it is family-friendly. The comments like hearing the neighbors, etc (which is true) didn't bother us that much. We booked a ”superior” room. The staff at the reception treated us well as we arrived. Also they were very helpful in answering our questions. Similarly the room service team was very professional and still friendly. They understood what a family with little kids might need. However, due to the fact that the room fridge is very small and offers only limited cooling capacity, some food items either went bad, or were impossible to fit in the fridge. For example the baby milk went bad a couple of times. Therefore we requested some milk to feed it before going to bed. At first the staff responded in a friendly way, but later (two of them) became very reluctant in answering our needs. It is true we could have kept some items in the big fridge at the hall, which we did already, but it is different when it comes to baby milk. We simply expected either a better and larger fridge, or a more attentive staff at the reception. When faced with the same situation before at a different hotel, they replaced the fridge immediately. Long story short: following our experience, the hotel is not as family-friendly as we expected. I would not recommend it for long stays. For the price, the ”superior” room is not worth it. Paying more than 1,400€, we didn't think getting some warm baby milk would be that complicated. That said, we did enjoy the terrace and the hall area. Half of the staff at the reception were very helpful and professional. The location was very central.

The bed is very comfortable, the couchs too. I loved the decoration of the room and the bathroom. The bathroom is very well adapted, just mention that the shower garden does not reach the floor and the water is out. The hotel is very comfortable and the servant who served us was charming and very friendly with us. We will repeat it safely since the experience has been fabulous. Location: 3 minutes walk from Sants Station.

Came here with my partner when we visited Barcelona for her birthday. The staff behind the counter were very helpful and genuine. There was a small mix up with the tax to be paid on arrival but was all sorted very quickly. The rooms are very clean and spacious, and the shower/ bath was lovely. The bath was a little small but can't complain. The breakfast was reasonably priced and was very tasty, there was a nice selection of hot and cold foods, as well as cakes, bread and cereal. For the price, it was one of the more classy hotels we looked at but this is not reflected in the price. We was very happy with out stay and have recommended it to some friends who are visiting soon. You are a short walk away from the metro, but probably only 15 minute walk away from Las Ramblas.

It is suitable for bringing children, the suite is equipped with everything, you need to bring your own sheets. There are many small supermarkets around to buy fruits and vegetables, you can cook for yourself. The disadvantage is that there is no dishwasher.
