From entering the hotel to the time we checked out we were treated like royalty. We came to Barcelona for the weekend to celebrate my birthday and on the day of check in I was greeted by beautiful patisserie and a bottle of chilled cabs in our room! Our first breakfast was heralded by complimentary pancakes and the staff were so courteous and helpful. But what made our stay so special was that this isn’t just an ordinary city hotel. They ooze individuality at every opportunity, from the selection of drinks in your room to the evening entertainment and everything else in between. This is our little secret hideaway in Barcelona, and we shall be returning.

I made a reservation at a high price because I made a reservation in a hurry, but 3 people used it, and the room size was okay, and everything was okay. ah! There was too much dust on the towel... To the point where you could see the dust attached to it after washing and wiping it. I stayed there for 4 days and it was like that all 4 days.

The Majestic Hotel is in a great location. Lots of shopping and places to eat in the area. Our room was a junior suite. It was large, comfortable, very clean and extremely welcoming upon our return after a long day out enjoying the sites of Barcelona. The breakfast was wonderful having pretty much everything you could want for breakfast and more! When we come back to Barcelona in the future, we will definitely stay at the Majestic Hotel.

When first booking our trip to Barcelona, it was a little overwhelming the amount of properties one could choose from. After a bit of review and consideration we decided on the Hotel Olivia Balmes. We were most interested in finding a hotel that was centrally located, emphasized comfort and cleanliness, & had in room central air conditioning (given our late summer travel). The hotel hit top marks in all. We also used the pool and ate breakfast which were both excellent. I would not hesitate to book a stay here. The front desk staff were also very kind and available 24 hours a day.

Good location, good service I don’t know about breakfast, because there are many restaurants nearby, so I don’t apply. The location here is good I'm stuck On Gracia Street, there is a department store next to the Gothic Quarter. This is 3 stars, so there are no facilities Good location and good value for money.

This is the second time I stayed at this hotel: I stayed here 17 years ago in my first visit to Barcelona although I could not remember much of my experience then. I decided to stay at the Hotel Royal Ramblas in my second visit to Barcelona for 5 nights in September 2022 because of its good location. I must say its location on La Rambla is excellent and exceptional. It is close to many popular tourist attractions, it's just a few minutes walk to Plaza Catalunya metro station, and bus stops at Plaza Catalunya for the hop on hop off buses. Port Veil and the beach are within walking distance. The room we got on the Planta Royal (just one floor above the breakfast restaurant) was comfortable and clean. Although the room is facing La rambla it is extremely quiet during the night. The wifi was fast, the shower was great and the aircon was so quiet and effective. The breakfast was excelent throughout our stay and the staff at the reception were very helpful and freindly. I will definitely recommend this hotel for visitors to Barcelona. One complaint I would like to make is that for a four star hotel, there isn't any tissue paper in the room. I have to buy one box of tissue papers from Carrefour nearby. But in my opinion Hotel Royal Ramblas is an excellent hotel and I would stay there agin in my next visit.

Where do I start we simply loved everything about our stay at the edition. We stayed here April 18th - 21st and the staff specifically the concierge, night bell man on the 18th and front desk were beyond helpful and accommodating. I unfortunately lost the card with their names but those three guys helped my mom and I tremendously - from recommendations, transportations and other tidbits which made our stay very special. Lou Lou on the rooftop was exceptional and actually would remember our morning order which added that extra touch of personalization and guest service. Lisa I believe was her name at the rooftop bar (evening) was also fabulous. The Edition hotel is one of my favorite luxury boutique hotels and the Barcelona one didn’t disappoint - the rooms were gorgeous, clean and well appointed. The rooftop had breath taking views and the bar on the 1st floor was great for a nightcap. On top of the service, great rooms the hotel was in an exceptional location which made exploring super easy! We spent three days here and then moved to the W and it was nowhere near the level of luxury service - quite frankly we regretted having not stayed at the Edition for our entire stay!

Calling it a swimming pool is a lie, feel ripped off. When you select a hotel with a swimming pool, the prices went up by £300-400 for our stay, so a hefty increase, but they didn't have one. It was 1 foot deep, that's not a pool, if you can't swim in it then it's a glorified puddle. Breakfast was vile, only edible part was the croissants, which seems pricey for £9 per day. Bed was relatively cosy, but on wheels and made so much noise any time either of us moved in the slightest. There was a buzzing sound that went off from the fan every 5 seconds, not too bad during the day, but when you're trying to sleep then it was a nightmare. The staff were friendly at reception, the bright spark that kept us from going elsewhere as we were really tempted. Wouldn't book again.

Can’t fault these apartments. Have stayed twice now. This time in a penthouse apparement with a rooftop terrace and amazing panoramic views across the city and beyond. The staff are friendly and very helpful. Will be back to stay next year and would highly recommend. Very close to metro and train and 15 min walk to top of the Ramblers. a perfect location to explore the city on foot.

Stayed at this hotel with a friend (separate rooms). Great location and rooftop views are nice. The pool is small but unique. If I'm being honest the color of the water made both of us afraid to go in. Both rooms also felt hot like the A/C was barely working. I didn't complain but my friend did and they weren't able to fix it. I mentioned it upon checkout. Great staff and the breakfast was really good.

Well, what to say, my boy and I booked this hotel for 3 nights reading the various positive reviews we didn't hesitate a moment. Excellent location, but the only positive note. As soon as we arrived, we found a very nice girl who spoke only Spanish, no one speaks Italian, so I don't know why they should write it. But this is the minimum. It explains how to enter, and tells us the room. We entered and found a very small room, with a balcony that looked more than a balcony a stick. Basic bathroom. But the thing that most shocked us was the little cleaning of the room. The bathroom was very small, the ground was full of hair and hair, but we closed an eye throwing a towel on the ground, but we did not resist finding hair out and inside the bed, and it was really full. I was pregnant 7 weeks, I told me, I didn't even sleep in them dead, so we called the girl who, sorry, said she would change the bedroom, and she made us out and, meanwhile, she changed them. But we felt that they were also screwing well, and the bed was very uncomfortable, and a fox was created after two days. And rooms were no-sonic, because the last day there were a group of English boys who made a ****** absurd until 3 p.m. preventing us from sleeping, that is, I would never go there again and I wouldn't advise it at least.

Pros: Great location; beautiful, clean modern rooms; great coffee, lovely appointed kitchen that guests may use. Cons: Lack of communication; no sound proofing between rooms & halls; AC didn't work. I would not stay here again & therefore would not recommend this hotel. I’m still baffled as to the high ratings on this website and other travel websites. I’ll be wary to go by ratings again for accommodations I find on this website and other popular travel websites. 1) When we arrived there was no one available to let us in. The reception is open only from 12:00 pm - 7:00 pm. Check in is at 3:00, no one was even available to leave luggage. It's extremely inconvenient. We wasted a lot of time the day of check-in. We sent multiple WhatsApp messages & could see that they had been received, but there were no responses even though I requested responses. A phone call ended in a hang up on their end. There was a sign on the door stating the hotel would be closed until after the day we had a reservation to check in. This was disconcerting (see photo). Someone should man the desk during normal business hours, 9-5. In speaking with other guests & even the hotel staff at another nearby accommodation, this is a frequent event. Other travelers there during our stay had a similar experience --- wasting a lot of time trying to check in or drop-off bags. 2) Temp control didn’t cool the room. The thermostats in the room don’t control the temperature in the rooms. We had left one of our keys, which work the outlets, plugged in the entire day. The room was still hot when we returned early evening. The owner suggested we leave the key in the outlet totally disregarding my comment that we had done exactly that — left one of the keys in the outlet all day. When we returned at midnight, the room was still hot & this was May. I cannot even imagine the inferno the room will be in the summer months. 3) There's minimal soundproofing. You can hear guests from other rooms and in the hallway.
