This experience was a disaster from the start. The day of arriving, we were called and told that a bachelorette party would have exclusive use of the pool. This was disappointing because the main appeal for booking this place was for the kids to swim in the pool - especially during a heat wave. When we arrived, the apartment was not ready for us anyways and we looked down at the pool to see that it was deserted. We called management and was told it would be OK for our kids to swim even though the party's personal belongings and floaties were strewn all over. Soon after however, the girls came back and gave us dirty looks to get out. Meanwhile our son got a big gash on his foot on the stone tiles around the pool. I showed the caretaker who was "cleaning" our apartment and she didn't offer any bandaids or help. She and her husband are the ones who live on site watch over the property. We ended up having to drive to a store to purchase first aid. Once the room was ready, we saw that it was not a 2-bedroom apartment that we booked. It was a Studio with no room divisions and our 2 kids would have to sleep on the pull out couch which wasn't even made. The caretaker just gave us the keys and made no mention of it, hoping we wouldn't notice. After I told management over chat, she came back and tried to convince us that it was an upgrade!! Then she showed us the adjacent 2-bedroom apartment that we should have gotten, and even though it was not even booked for the night, it was still messy from previous guests. She made up some ridiculous excuse why it was not a better option but really, she just didn't want to clean it!!! We spent 2-3hr dealing with them on these issues and having to keep talk to the manager on the phone. Just to add further insult, when we got into bed that night - we lifted the bedspread and there weren't even sheets! The mattress was BARE. She didn't even make the bed!! Obviously we cancelled the rest of our stay and had to spend time booking another place downtown, re-packing and wasting half a day until the next check-in. In the end, they didn't charge us, but the time and stress is non-refundable. The manager needs to be on-site or hire better caretakers.
