Hotels near Monkey Beach in Southwest Penang Island

Second visit here. Love the vibes, my number one hotel in Penang, will definitely visit again. Breakfast choices getting more and variety from my last visit. Hopefully the taste of the food can be improve till my next visit. Overall pretty good, I’m really enjoy my stay.

This hotel is located near the Bayan Lepas International Airport which is very convenient to air travelers. Parking is easy and close to the building. The plus point of this hotel is the room which is large and spacious. The cafe is easily accessable and the prices are reasonable. You must try their mi goreng sotong......The serving is huge and tasty. Front office staff are helpful and friendly and for the present room rate they are charging, it is worth for a second visit. Overall our 4nights stay at Olive Tree Hotel Penang was very good but not spectacular. We do appreciate the free parking for guests at their multi-storey carpark and the convenience of the location being walking distance to lots of cafes, restaurants and etc within Bayan Baru. Our room did not come with breakfast so we can't comment on that although we do see a lot of people having breakfast during our stay. Their food offerings at the restaurant was great too and reasonably priced. Our room was super spacious and very comfortable and was the highlight of the hotel for sure. Unfortunately during our stay over Christmas, there were lots of things being fixed (which is a positive for future guests) but it didn't affect us that much. Once again very good hotel but not spectacular.

Location is accessible. Beachfront with the swimming pool. Suitable for family vacation. Nice sea view from the room. Room is very Spacious . Lounge have sea view. From Restaurant can see sea and swimming pools. Very relaxing. We definitely will come back. Staff are kind and helpful.

Reached the hotel around 10am so was told by the hotel staff that the earliest check in will be at 2pm. In general hotel staffs were polite and professional. When I booked the room, I requested for high floor and mine was at 18th floor. Amazing view with a semi sea view. Room was very spacious.It comes with walk in wardrobe, steamer room and a private pool. Great for couples or even for family. Great amount of varieties for breakfast. Location is near the airport.

Convenient location , just few min walk to Queen bay Shopping mall Security are very tight as well to protect hotel guest Complimentary beverage from 5:30pm at level 14

Nice place to stay, near to the mall and restaurants. Good parking facilities although paying Rm 8 per day.

We are satisfied with the accommodation. The facilities are good enough.. cooking utensils are provided too. The owner also provided an extra mattress for us too.. that's great.. The distance to attractive places is just nearby. Dun forget your food hunting in Penang. There are a lot of OOTD spots for you to go and enjoy too. Overall, we are satisfied with our stay here. Will come again one day..

This was our 1st time at Amari Spice but from the on set was a bad experience. Driving into the hotel I could not drive to the lobby entrance to drop my family & luggage as it was blocked for some reason best known to Amari. Security at the entrance was of no help & I ended up blocking the way of a car at the back. What was supposed to be destress trip, started off on bad note. Anyway cursing Amari Spice for being worst than a 1 star hotel, I reversed back into the lobby entrance. Told this bad experience while checking in to the front office staff but they were not bothered  Going to the room found the mattress to be too soft sinking when you lay down & the air cond temp tops up at 26.5 degress, not everyone likes the room super cold. These 2 shortcomings are something that you wld not find in a 4 or 5 star hotels but looks like Amari is still figuring out where they stand. Even many 3 star hotels are better. Moving to the shower both rain & hand shower water flow was dispointing at best with temperature regulation being a challenge. Since my home is at Bukit Jambu & the main reason of chosing Amari was to destress, which was not possible with the said room conditions, I had to leave my family both nights to head home to rest. The matteress, shower & air cond at home the best. Wondering how Amari claims to be home away from home. On a good note the staff were courteous & friendly. Inclosing would I stay at Amari Spice again. NO.

Tried out new concept with M Qube & it turned a pleasant stay. It is clean & well maintained in all areas. You will get all basic that needed after check-in and in your own cube. Locked locker provided also which no need worry your belongings with no where store but suggested for small/medium size only. Great ME-Time spent in own cube. You will have shared bathroom and it is acceptable clean level. Just to watch up that your amenities shower tray will be get wet if using standing rain shower head as it will spill all around. Location ok as there is a food court next to the building and the price is reasonable. I think gotten my second home to stay in whenever visit Penang 😊 Will be back soon!
