Southwest Penang Island Hotels with Breakfast

Though the first impression of the service wasn’t what I expected for. 5 star hotel (we weren’t given much info at check in, the room seemed cleaned in a rush with a lot of dust…), the impression definitely got better. You get housekeeping twice a day in the room, we got a complimentary welcome drink and a cake for Christmas, if you sign up, you get a few things for free including a very relaxing 15min massage and a couple of drinks… but the best is definitely the view and the infinity pool, where you also get complimentary infused water and a towel. Maybe it’s lacking a few more sun loungers for when the hotel is busy as they get taken quite quickly (some people leave their towels there to keep the spot which is not great). We had the buffet in Jendala for Christmas Eve and the range of food and decoration were impressive though some of the food looked better than it tasted, mostly the one that is not traditionally from the country. We had dinner once at Number 11 and that was a fantastic (though not cheap) experience, amazing service and delicious food! The hotel offers a free shuttle bus to Georgetown and to Batuk Ferringui to see the night markets, which is great. Though the location can be a bit far as it’s not in the middle of a town, it’s a nice relaxing spot and only a 20 min walk (or a 5min grab) to attractions like Entopia, the Penang National Park or the Tropical Spice Garden.

This must be the most pleasant hotel quarantine i have done so far. I have a room with a balcony that overlooks the sea on one side and the hills on the other. Last night i watched the sun set, and this morning i did my exercises in thesea breeze, and could see the birds flying around in the trees. A special thank you to the hotel reservation team - Hasrol has been so helpful. He made sure i got the rooms i requested (we are a family group, so wanted adjoining rooms as well), kept us updated as the quarantine procedures kept changing, and made sure we had the documents we needed for smooth clearance through the airport on arrival. What a difference it makes to have professional and caring staff, especially when attempting travel during the Covid pandemic.

The breakfast was good, the fried chicken was very delicious, the curry with nasi lemak was great, but there were not many kinds of vegetables and fruits. The parking lot is free, but there are not many cars, the service is very good, check in and check out have parking handles to help carry your luggage and then take you from the room to your parking location. Without TV, the telephone signal and network signal are not very good. The forest is here to cut off from the world.

I love budget hotels... Been to lots of them and I know the expectation when staying at this kind of accommodation. Cheap, basic amenities, no frills concept. However Hotel Seri Malaysia Pulau Pinang just set a new standards of how a hotel should not be. I've stayed with them a couple of years ago and I know how bad their services are, but after several years maybe they might consider improving at least a little, but they prove me wrong. Check in 2 days ago, and the impression is not good. Complaints from the customers at the counter (hot water, cleanliness, etc). I thought maybe he was because bg fussy. I've got the 3rd floor room which is not a problem without lift. The room is ok but the air-conditioning is unreliable. The temperature control doesn't really works. The breakfast buffet nothing special with limited spread. I saw few tourists who bring in their own food. Don't know why but I assumed the choices of F&B is not enough for them. And the seating are so limited. I know that it is School holiday session but when the customers standinh for 10 minutes with food on their hand and no one even give a damn, then it is intolerable. I do ask for a container for me to take away the food, but as if they care. So.. Seri Malaysia hotel... If you do read this review, good, please do something for the sake of your own good. For me, no more Seri Malaysia ever. To be honest I'm ashamed they have Malaysia in their brand. Change to other name please

We wanted to use the hotel as a day-room, so informed that that we would not be staying the night, but would like an early check-in; this went well. Where it fell apart was on checkout, we were asked to pay the tourist tax, which we had paid on check-in, but was apparently not recorded or incorrectly recorded. Fortunately we had time (just) and insisted that it be checked, as otherwise the hotel would have collected the tourist tax on check-in and check-out if we were really tight on time. Not sure where these extra funds end up...

Is an excellent locations where you can find so many eateries around the hotel in fact don't need to have breakfast at the hotel. There is a famous KAYU NASI KANDAR with good breakfast. Of course lunch dinner and supper as well. Hotel is very clean and spacious with an excellent service rates 4 star on the service cause we had to call 3x to get an assistance with our luggage to bring it down as we have a lot of luggages. Overall is a very good hotel strongly recommended.

This hotel is located near the Bayan Lepas International Airport which is very convenient to air travelers. Parking is easy and close to the building. The plus point of this hotel is the room which is large and spacious. The cafe is easily accessable and the prices are reasonable. You must try their mi goreng sotong......The serving is huge and tasty. Front office staff are helpful and friendly and for the present room rate they are charging, it is worth for a second visit. Stayed for a night at Olive tree for a rest before our flight the next day. Room was clean and neat. So many eateries around, so it was nice to try out foods at Bayan Lepas. Airport is around 10mins away, which was the reason we decided to book for the room. Reception was kind to allow an early check in at 12pm. Highly recommended

I especially like the environment there, the beautiful scenery, the birds and flowers, the villa is simple and chic, very emotional. There are frogs and insects in the night, and there are bird songs in the morning, which is suitable for leisure for small purposes. The waiters are warm and thoughtful, that is, the transportation is not convenient, and Chinese food and dinner are not available. Going to eat a meal will require a round trip and cost 120 MYR.
