Really Amway this hotel! The room is the antique mahogany style, full of high-end sense. Living in is quiet and comfortable, and the fatigue is instantly dissipated. The location is also very good, just a few steps out to Zhengxiang Wanda, eat, drink and play in one stop, love love!

1. I booked this hotel because it is surrounded by the city grassland and Olympic Park. When I checked in at night, I hoped to be arranged to have a room with a view. I left early the next morning and also visited Baotou. I was told that there was no room, and I was arranged to have a room. The view is shown in the last picture. There is nothing else to say. In the morning, there is a lot of noise outside when I open the balcony door, similar to the noise of the air conditioner. So it may be that I didn't encounter the kind of front desk who actively upgraded the room as mentioned in the comments.
2. Not only was there water in the kettle, but the bottom of the kettle was also very dirty, see Figure 4, which is not even as good as ordinary hotels.
3. The door of the bathroom and shower room faces the bed, without any shelter, see Figure 5, it is very inconvenient for the family to take a bath, change clothes and take things.
4. The biggest complaint is that the alarm clock starts ringing at 5:30, and I was disturbed and didn't rest well at all. Even if it was booked by the previous guest, it should be a basic operation to reset the alarm clock when cleaning the room.
In summary, I booked a five-star (diamond) rating for the environment, service and facilities, but this hotel is quite disappointing.

The local hotel is more advanced, the environment and facilities are good, not far from the train station, less than 10 minutes by taxi. Going to Salazi has been living here, quiet and comfortable! The service is very good, mainly because the reception is beautiful and very warm. I have tried my best to help solve the need. There are quite a lot of breakfast styles, foreign tourists recommend milk tea, a bowl every morning! Because it is summer, there are food stalls in the parking lot at the entrance, the taste is really good, and there is a group purchase package. 3-4 It is estimated that 56 people can't finish the package! The outdoor is also very comfortable in summer, there are few people, and the food is very real! I will go to spend a few days regularly to cultivate my body and mind, I recommend everyone!

GGuest UserReally beautiful hotel room. Staff very friendly. Restaurant very good. The only reason we haven’t given full points is the bed was the hardest we have ever experienced and we didn’t get a full nights sleep during our stay. We know that Chinese people like a hard bed, unfortunately us westerners prefer a bit softer. I ended up sleeping on top of the doona on the last night with dressing gown over the top. My husband slept on the sofa. On the last morning there were a lot of alarms going off and we weren’t sure if they were fire alarms. We couldn’t find a fire drill or map on exits etc. something like that on the door would be handy in English as well as Chinese. Apart from that a very good hotel.

TTarraleahAn excellent hotel in a fantastic location! The location is outstanding, being on top of the large Wanda Plaza which has an abundance of shopping and dining options. The popular night market is right outside, and the botanic gardens and other beautiful parks are a short walk away. The room looked exactly as it did in the pictures on the app, and was very spacious with high-level facilities including smart shower and smart toilet. The smart shower in particular was great. Both the reception and housekeeping staff were friendly, very efficient, and helpful. I look forward to staying here again!

AAnyouweiEvery time I stay here, I stay for several days in a row. The hotel staff have very good service. Not only can they perfectly solve the problems I encounter, but they also clean up in time in the evening. It is really a very good choice for people who change day and night. The staff are available 24 hours a day to help solve problems at any time. I won’t say too much about the rooms. Everyone who has stayed there says they are good!

JJu13The hotel is very close to the Baotou east railway station. It is easily accessible by Taxis. A lot of places to eat are nearby. It was a bit difficult with English, as our Chinese language skills aren't that great; it is good to have a (offline) working Translation App. The staff was very helpful nonetheless.
The breakfast is Chinese food buffet, several choices and a very reasonable price.
The room was spacious and clean.
A second chair for 2 person was the only thing we were missing ;)

GGuest UserHaving stayed in so many hotels, this one is definitely the best. The location is excellent, surrounded by attractions and business districts, and convenient for travel. The room is clean and tidy. The most commendable thing is the service. My housekeeper Cassie Zhang Zhilin has already prepared the room for me before I checked in. During the stay, she always paid attention to my needs and was meticulous, making me feel the warmth of home. I strongly recommend it to all friends who travel. The service is really great. I will choose Shangri-La Hotel Baotou next time I stay!

Llaraine_lmqStaying again after 7 years, I feel that the equipment is indeed a bit old, the new hotel is frequently opened, and the scenes that were full before are probably not easy to reproduce, but the service hygiene is not said. Special thanks to the restaurant master: I saw that we didn't have a fruit knife, and found the restaurant with the flower tomatoes we bought. We didn't say anything. JJuanzigeSelf-driving is very convenient. If you are not driving by yourself, you may need to go to Xilamuren Town by yourself, and the boss can pick you up. The service is not very attentive but very sincere and enthusiastic. The yurt we stayed in had 1/3 of the floor-to-ceiling glass windows, and we could see the stars all over the sky, which shocked me and my kids. It was really super beautiful. The facilities in the yurt are better than the pictures, and the lamb bone hot pot we had for dinner tastes good and authentic ~ Living in the urban jungle, coming to the endless grassland, my mind feels extremely open. July-August is the peak season. There will be bonfire parties and so on, and it should be very lively. When we came, there were only a few of us in the entire resort, and we found some peace amidst the hustle and bustle. The sky is clear, the fields are vast, and the wind-blown grass and cattle and sheep have become concrete at this moment. It is worth coming, and the store is also worth staying.

The day before check-in, the hotel staff called to inquire about the arrival time. They said that they would perform the ceremony of offering Hada and drinking wine at the door. When the car drove to the parking lot, they saw the staff welcoming us. Although the ceremony of offering Hada and drinking wine at the end was very hasty, it still happened.
The staff came to introduce the facilities in the room to us. Later, they introduced some consumption items. The prices were relatively high. There was a bonfire party in the park at night. You can also watch the bonfire party while eating skewers.
Generally speaking, it is very good to have such facilities in the depths of the grassland.

But what made this place stand out most was the hospitality of the host. The owner was incredibly warm, welcoming, and attentive. He went above and beyond to make sure every guest felt at home – and that’s something you don’t find everywhere.
If you're looking for a genuine local experience, with both comfort and connection, I highly recommend this resort.

MM.O.T.A.S around the worldThe yurts are a modern twist on the traditional yurts, these are more like hotel suites with a bathroom and separate shower within the yurt, a good feature if you are not looking for the authentic yurt experience. The drive to the grounds is very rural and you will drive past beautiful countryside scenery. within the grounds itself there isnt much to do, the owner will take you to neighbouring yurt hotels for bonfire, music and dance shows. On our drive back to Hohhot saw many other yurt complexes with more amenities (I don't know what the price difference is) and can't complain about the service, staff were very helpful and kind.
