"Highly recommended for a night in Bangor, probably the best choice for a budget of £100/night. Located in the university, on the hill, it has nice view over the city and the river. The room was larger than what I expected, and is clean and nicely furnished. The breakfast was good, traditional British style with a bit more choices to serve."
"It was late arrival, but the reception was kind. The view of the sea from the room was great and the optional breakfast was delicious. The bad thing was that the electric kettle and coffee cups in the room were left unused by someone and the lighting in the room was broken and not turned off."
"We got the room on top floor. We felt tired to walk up and down the stairs but luckily the staff was helpful to bring the luggage up to the room once.
There was only bath tub and no shower. We could not stand on the bath tub because the ceiling was low and half blocked.
No table and chair. We only sat on the beds in a small room."

"Downstairs is the bar will be a bit noisy, probably lasting until 11 or 12 o'clock. Overall, the front desk of the hotel is very good, the bed is very soft, the room is quite big, very close to the station. Overall, the stay is more comfortable and satisfactory."
"I recently stayed at Serenity Suites Hotel and had a great overall experience. The hotel was clean, modern, and had a calm, relaxing atmosphere, just what I needed for a short getaway."
"This was a perfect location for my first visit to North Wales. The hotel is situated just over the Menai bridge. The hotel also had a bar and restaurant which was really convenient for my stay. Room was really spacious and comfortable. Would highly recommend"
"The location is very good and the Menai Bridge is just a stone's throw away. The room was spacious, bright and very satisfying.
However, I was worried that the restaurant was not cleaned well and that there were many chats with the staff."
The Slate is an ideal spot for travelers wanting to discover the city. The Slate offers a pleasant stay in Llanllechid for those traveling for business or leisure. The hotel is 17km from Snowdon Mountain Railway Station and 36km from Anglesey Airport. There is no shortage of things to see in the area, with the Spinnies Aberogwen North Wales Wildlife Trust Nature Reserve, Penrhyn Castle Railway Museum and Ogwen Beach all nearby. When guests have some time on their hands they can make use of the onsite facilities. For those driving themselves, parking is provided on site.
"A beautiful building, atmospheric and old, with a great vioew of Loch Ness - really has to be the best. The hotel is a looking a little old and tired. The 4 poster suite is the best in the hotel, but neeeds and upgrade. The food also needs a total makeover. Verdict: a lovely hotel that needs major investment and upgrade. Book through a travel website, as the hotel's own rates are too high."
