Highly recommended for a night in Bangor, probably the best choice for a budget of £100/night. Located in the university, on the hill, it has nice view over the city and the river. The room was larger than what I expected, and is clean and nicely furnished. The breakfast was good, traditional British style with a bit more choices to serve.

Checkin is fast and the room is clean. The breakfast is also really good.

1. Geographical location: It is closer to the bus station than the train station, but if you walk from the train station, you can find a restaurant along the road to have dinner before checking in. Near Bangor University. 2. Room facilities: There is a bed, private bathroom (toiletries are quite useful), hairdryer, iron, sockets, a table and chairs... everything you need is there. WiFi signal is also good. 3.Meals: Breakfast is highly recommended. There are not many varieties but basically everything you can think of. There is also a coffee shop. 4. Personnel: The counter staff were friendly and the restaurant staff were also very helpful.

The room is large, has a very old feel but is very clean and tidy! The service is very good and the environment is very good. It is right next to the sea and you can take beautiful photos. It’s not a big town and it’s very convenient and close to everywhere, just ten minutes’ drive away! Breakfast is highly recommended!

Front desk and restaurant service needs to be improved

Called well in advance before check in to ask for a z bed in the room for our daughter. The staff member said no extra charge over the phone and when we arrived at check in they asked for £11 for extra bed and £12 for breakfast. They said sorry but it was a new trained member of staff which didn’t know about the extra charge. I thought to myself why should I pay when it was a staff member that had received this info during her training?! It was an added extra we didn’t plan for, we should have just booked an air bnb. Also we were on the ground floor near the entrance and exit and it was very loud through the night with people going back and forth. We didn’t get much rest at all. Staff in breakfast area were lovely, bathroom was lovely and clean in room, just a pity about the check in experience and noise.

Comfortable and nice view of the Menai straits. Rather difficult to find without sat nav as no signs for the building until you have arrived!!!Poor choice of drinks in the restaurant, but dinner fine.

Excellent stay, staff made us welcome soon as we walked in. Breakfast was very enjoyable and lots to eat. Staff was brilliant, looking forward to going back.
