バンコク旧市街・テーウェート地区のカサットスク通り沿いにある老舗のホテル。当ホテルのあらましについては公式HP内に詳しい記載がなされているが、現ホテル名に改称した1963年から数えても既に半世紀以上の歴史を誇り、落ち着いた佇まいの館内の共有スペースやドアマンの丁寧な物腰からも只ならぬホテルであることが伺える。ホテルは創業時からのハードをリニューアルしたと思われる旧館と現代風建築の粋を結集したかのように見える新館とに別れている。特筆すべきは旧館のアーケード回廊状の意匠とそこに設けられたプール・庭園のデザイン。客室はさすがに1950-60年代建築の限界から、最近のモダンなホテルとの比較では快適性・設備の面で見劣りしてしまうのは致し方ないのだが、適宜リニューアルされており不満を感じる事はない。バンコク旧市街の観光スポットへのアクセス性の良さも特筆すべきであり、ワンランク高い評価がなされてもおかしくない素晴らしいホテルである。

We chose this hotel as it has triple room and is a heritage boutique hotel in the old town district. It is also reasonably priced. It is indeed a cosy heritage building with nice hardwood flooring in the room. The room is simple, clean and spacious for three, all TV channels seem to be in Thai. There are little nice details like folding the towels into cute elephants and provision of tea and coffee in the dining area all- day. What’s impressive with the hotel is its warm hospitality especially displayed by Sherry who has taken time to explain about the house and also to recommend us a nice half day tour which we didn’t think of at first. She also arranged to pack breakfast for us, and the morning staff was thoughtful to ensure we are safely onboard the tour van. I would recommend this hotel especially for visits to historic spots like the palace and also to the trendy Kaoshan Road area. There is also a pier nearby for easy access by boat transport.

Pros: Over all a decent place for a short stay of 2 nights or so due to favourable, central location at this price point. Cons: Poor hygien standard due to clearly visable mold and stains in the bathroom/shower area.

I went to check in late afternoon around 5.20 pm. After getting into the room no. 202 we instantly found that the room wasn’t cleaned up yet(or maybe it was still occupied)!! This is unacceptable. We were so shocked. The bed, pillow, blanket...etc were still messed and not made (luckily nobody was in the room) We then were assigned to another room which was 204. This room was okay. One good point that the male staff did apologize us but he said that maybe the system was inaccurate!! Thinking of our check in time at 5+ pm which was pretty late already, they should have checked and prepared the room for the arriving guest. Imagine if there was someone in the room when we entered, what would have happened? พักครั้งแรกก็ไม่ประทับใจ เข้าพักระหว่าง 6-7 กุมภาพันธ์ 2564 ไปเช็คอินประมาณ 17.20 น. (ซึ่งก็ถือว่าช้าแล้ว) พอเปิดประตูเข้าไป ห้องแรก 202 สภาพที่เห็นคือห้องถูกใช้แล้ว เตียงนอน ที่นอน ผ้าห่ม ฯลฯ อยู่ในสภาพที่ยังไม่ได้ทำความสะอาด เลยรีบออกมาและแจ้งพนักงาน พนักงานก็รีบหาห้องใหม่ให้คือ 204 (ห้องนี้ปกติ) พอลงไปสอบถามพนักงานว่าเกิดอะไรขึ้น พนักงานก็แจ้งว่าไม่ทราบเหมือนกัน เพราะเขาทำงานแค่เสาร์-อาทิตย์ แต่น่าจะเป็นที่ระบบ?? ขนาดเราว่าเรามาเช็คอินช้าแล้ว และโรงแรมก็ไม่ได้เต็มหรือยุ่งมาก แสดงว่าก่อนเราเข้าพัก ทางโรงแรมฯ ไม่ได้เช็คหรือเตรียมห้องไว้ล่วงหน้าเลย ยังโชคดีที่ตอนที่เราเข้าไปห้องแรก ไม่มีลูกค้าคนอื่นอยู่!! สิ่งที่ตามมาคือ คืนนั้นทั้งคืนมันก็ทำให้เรานอนไม่หลับสนิท เพราะระแวงว่าโรงแรมฯ จะส่งลูกค้าคนอื่นมาซ้ำห้องเราอีกไหม (First impression is the last impression) อยากให้โรงแรมฯ ตรวจสอบและหามาตรการระมัดระวังไม่ให้เกิดเหตุการณ์แบบนี้เกิดขึ้นอีกในอนาคต ปล.พนักงานผู้ชายที่เป็นคนเช็คอิน รับมือกับสถานการณ์ได้ดี หาห้องใหม่เปลี่ยนให้ พูดจาเพราะและขอโทษหลายครั้ง

Very good service attitude English communication is very convenient and a little Chinese. The environment is very clean and very relaxing. There is a swimming pool. The only drawback is that the sound of the motorcycle outside the window is a bit loud but does not affect It's midnight when I entered the house.

A new small but beautiful hotel. The soft furnishings and atmosphere are in place. Breakfast is when you check in. You can choose your favorite set meal and approximate meal time, and the kitchen will prepare it in advance. The deposit is in cash or passport. Overall, the experience is very good, different from the crowded feeling of resort hotels or traditional group hotels. This time I didn't bring children, if I bring children, it should not be suitable.

Lovely place tucked away in the bylanes of Phranakorn. Very courteous staff, clean and colourful rooms. Every room is themed and must agree that the owner of this property has very good taste in decorating the rooms. Self sufficient rooms, wonderful AC and the cafe right below is awesome.

Hotel in posizione strategica in quanto nel cuore della spettacolare Bangkok e a 2 passi dalla caratteristica Kho San Road. Cordiale e sorridente l’intero staf, come d’altronde lo sono tutti i tailandesi, caratteristica predominante dell’intera nazione. Camere molto carine e pulite, forse solo leggermente piccole. Ottimo il rapporto qualità prezzo. Consiglio vivamente di visitare la Thailandia e di prenotare in questo hotel.

I always stayed here in the Khaosan Road sector I paid 280 thb in 2001, 480 thb I believe at my last visit 5 years ago a quality price unbattable damage still no wifi in the rooms and more kitchen as a Good time (US breakfast in room a 45 thb)

We stayed at the Berville Hotel during our honeymoon and we were delighted to find the room so beautifully decorated with hundreds of roses everywhere and very happy! All the staff were very kind and especially thanks to Christopher, who taught us a lot of useful Thai words, gave us a lot of hints on the delicious Thai food, and for Gerard, he spent a lot of time explaining the history of Thailand and helping us plan for the next Travel. Thank you very much, very satisfying!! Highly recommended!!
