Hotels near Manhattan Chit Lom in Bangkok

first room we were brought to, we caught 6 roaches in less than 5 mins, size ranging from small to medium. asked for a change in room in less than 5 mins but was already ready to leave. thank god the next room we had was pretty decent & clean. even had a bathtub & big bathroom. hotel in general was pretty old so bathtubpin & bathroom taps were kinda rusty & hard to use. location is v convenient to bigc/ centralworld/ childlom bts but there’s still a very short walkway that has no shelter so if it rains, you’ll most likely be slightly drenched. cleanliness of the room was really the breaking point & defo needs improvement. if you’re not afraid of roaches, this hotel might be okay for you.

Location: On the the doorstep (literally) of a serene and pulse-reducing (literally) health centre, but only a short tuk tuk ride from shopping, bars, and the vibrancy of Bangkok central. Building: Recently renovated, it makes the most of an older architectural style by embracing the large open atrium spaces to the extent the fitout somehow manages to feel cosy and lush. (Particularly the Bittersweet lobby bar.) Amenity: Excellent gym. Pool area would be good if the high rise overlooking it was not currently under noisy and dusty construction. It will be finished… soon everyone must hope? Staff: 10 out of 10. The team representing the hotel is an asset. FOH, concierges and room attendees delivered a faultless stay — to a five star hotel level of service. In food and beverage, Wat, Jay and Nok elevated the offering. Despite the hotel being relatively quiet during the evenings, each of them made our holiday a pleasure with a professional (but suitably casual) approach to hosting. The cocktails were excellent, the food tasty and delivered with a smile and good conversation. The team’s personal interaction reflected their commitment to hospitality. Our spa experience matched the reviews of others on trip advisor. Well worth the price and better than a lot of other hotels. Outstanding trained therapists delivering treatments in a clean, soothing environment. The temperature controlled massage tables, generous volume of relaxing music and quality mood lighting during the massage is a step above many spas we’ve frequented. Zoe, Narm, Lah and Mea are a dream team. Overall, we spent over a month in Thailand at many hotel, and our time here was as good as any, thanks in large part to the quality and genuine hospitality of the staff. Recommended, and will return.

Always chooses Centara watergate whenever we visited Bangkok for the location and the bellman services. The front of the hotel has been renovated with brighter lights of the hotel name and a few new faces of securities men. Receptionist was nice to accommodate to my city view requests upon arrival. Room has shown worn off, bedsheet slightly stained with stubborn stain. The back of the wall frame was dusty, but not a hindered to my stay. Walking distance to big c, pratunam mall, Erawan shrine, central mall. Room daily clean, overall a happy stay. Would definitely come again.

Pros: Silent / lot of shopping options below and around the hotel / good breakfast/ comfortable bed. Cons: Front staff not guest friendly/ some rooms have bad smell/ intercom & master control do not work. All the cons can be fixed if you inform the front desk; sound from the next room flushing the toilet keeps you awake. Check the room for bad smell, master control and AC condition before you occupy it, they will help you out of you report. Lights are not enough in room and especially in toilet to shave but can manage. Value for what you pay; also remember- most of what you save will be spent on taxi or tuk tuk to commute to main areas of Bangkok. I stayed with family and we took 04 rooms for 03 nights, we did Chiang Mai and Phuket and on the way back to Bangkok we took another hotel just because of the location;. Again, this hotel is worth what you pay.

the staff here are very helpful and nice and will def come back again for next trip. and surprisingly the food is pretty good and the match promotion is a great deal. location is the greatest part and walk distance to big c and central world, great for shopping experience.

My main hotel when in Bangkok since Jan. 2015. Stayed here 5 times since February 2023 after I retired and moved to Thailand to a different province. After covid, this place has not returned to what was the Indra Regent Hotel. Staff is still friendly and they recognize me when I come in. Place and rooms are super clean, but you can tell they are scrimping when looking at the pool area. It lacks TLC. My last visit there, at check out I was accused of smoking in the room when I did not. I picked up my cigar butts to the area clean and threw them away in the room. They eventually refunded my deposit after I insisted the clerk go to the room, but that experience left a bad feeling and I have not returned. I spent 36 years in business around customers and customer service, so I know a little bit about how to treat the regulars of your business. To their credit, Indra has apologized. I may go back, not sure at this point

If you are looking for valuable price for Test & Go hotel in Bangkok. I am happy to recommend Grace Hotel. Hotel public area is on renovation but guest room is newly and very clean and comfortable. I love the food and staffs is very helpful and kind. Thank you Khun Panisara and Grace Hotel team for great service during my Test & Go stay. Surely recommend to other travelers who plan to visit Bangkok during this time

Starting with all the basic amenities wifi, service, stock ups everything up to the mark. I am a huge shopping freak so I always talk my husband staying at Pratunam cause that's where all the good stuff happens. We have stayed at average hotels before which was obviously what we paid for but this time we didn't book for the full holiday and went on for a hotel hunt after strolling the whole night in search of a hotel we just found THE ONE right next to the hotel we were staying in. With the location, the rooms and convenience truly worth paying $30 more than other ”hotels” in Pratunam which are not even Motel standards at their best.

For the money, this is one of the best choices for a week long stay in Bangkok. The breakfast buffet is very good! My partner brought me a tray to our room as I was recovering from a medical procedure but he liked to linger over his in the restaurant to return for seconds on the fabulous espresso machine or enjoy a desert pastry after a full breakfast. The staff goes above and beyond to make your stay convenient and comfortable. The only negative for me was the “happy hour” limitations to a prescribed list of cocktails which did not include beer, wine, or old standards like gin and tonic; too strange… It’s not that you couldn’t have these but they were a higher/normal price than happy hour. I’ll return to this nice hotel but not the cocktail hour. To be fair- this practice is catching on in some venues 🤷‍♀️ I won’t give my opinion of the reason.

This is my first review and it is completely out of disgust. I have visited several countries and have stayed in several hotels. -This hotel lacks a few courtesy such as while checking out, they said please wait we need to check room. (Other hotels also check but they dont say this openly). -The bathroom door didn’t lock, the TV channels wasn’t available, the bed was not static due to faulty bed wheeels. -NOW COMES THE MAIN PART. They fined me “300 bath”. It is a small amount but the experience wasn’t good. My mistake was that, I kept their towel above their own hotel room pillow. Maybe just for 20 minutes. From their own pillow color got mixed with their towel. This hotel says that I am responsible for this color damage! I couldn’t argue as I had to catch my flight. With a bad closure I had to leave beautiful Thailand. I HIGHLY ADVISE NOT TO STAY IN ANY FX/FURAMA hotels in Thailand. I have stayed in Furama Xclusive (same owner hotel), I remember I asked for one tea bag during breakfast to take in my room. They ignored and refused. Hahaha I wonder does they even know “what is hospitality and how little things matters” I can write other negative things however, they were way better than FX.
