Fantastic, relaxing stay. We visited the Mandarin Oriental next door for tea and have to say that, although MO is a wonderful hotel, we found the Shangri La to be equally as good, just a little more relaxed.

Great spacious rooms and beautiful lobby. The Chinese restaurant inside had some of the most delicious dishes we’ve had at the hotels.

Disappointed with the room. The renowned Shangri-La hotel, is nothing but just a old hotel and weird smell room.
Expected more from this hotel for my birthday. But utter disappointed.
The only plus point is the view of Chao Praya River. Else, wont come back here again.

We enjoyed our stay. The room is spacious. The staffs are helpful, courteous and polite. We couldn’t ask for more.
The downside is the in house TV programs. Maybe some cable TV with movie selection would be good. We just enjoy watching a movie after a whole day of walking.
