We enjoyed our short stay here. They picked us from the airport and the driver brought us to an ATM on request. The hotel itself was beautiful, and clean and quiet. We enjoyed a nice sleep and then the breakfast was amazing!! Definitely get the dhosa, which is famous in this part of India. On checkout they offered us coffee to go, which was really good and appreciated.

I and my partner stayed at this venue during the new year's eve and overall, we would rate the experience as ”not up to the mark”. We do believe that the holiday events somewhere affected the service but considering the brand and 5 star tag, the basics should never be compromised. I've added the 'to be improved' and the 'good' points from our stay - TO BE IMPROVED - On 31st Dec, during our morning buffet we wanted to take few items to the room and to our surprise we were told that take aways will be chargeable. This was brand new information which till date no other property has mentioned. Later they did allow us after talking to the manager. This was the 1st instance. 2nd instance was when wanted cutlery in our room for food. They repeated the same thing saying since its 31st, it will levy extra charges. My only pain point is it was not informed prior during check-in or any other time. These are the basics we expect from a 5 star and we chose Courtyard over other chain only because of our previous experiences. - May be I am basing this on other stays, but a smart TV is what we expected in the room of a 5 star hotel, or a medium to connect/share our content. Me and my partner are indoor people, we wanted to play our content on a big screen but could not. GOOD - We were checked in by Arin Datta who was our dedicated guest ambassador. He was kind enough to provide us an upgrade which immediately added brownie points to the service. - In the evening, Arin sent few delights to make us feel more welcomed and valued. - After the service hiccup on 31st, we did inform Arin and he was committed to make up for the incident. We were offered lounge access and a complimentary dinner but we had other commitments so could not avail that. - Next day, the hotel manager Ayan, executive chef - Rajeev and the F&B manager - Yogesh spoke to us and explained the situation assuring a better experience next time. This really shows their dedication and conviction to ensure the best. Rooms The room was spacious enough for 2 people. There was a workstation which adds value for corporate travelers. The washroom felt cramped when both of us were using the sink. The disappointment was the TV which was not smart and neither had any medium to connect/share our content. Food and drinks We availed the morning buffet on all 4 days of our stay and 1 Sunday brunch. The morning spread was good but few things about the buffet can be improved. - The cut fruit spread can be increased. We did not find apples placed on any day but yes, they provided after asked. - Buttermilk/Tender Coconut water can be added to the beverage section. - The instructions for Omelet were not followed properly even after multiple reiterations. 3/4 days we asked for cheddar cheese overload egg-white Omelet but could not get what we wanted. 1st day undercooked, no cheese. 2nd day well cooked, no cheese. 3rd day well cooked, overloaded processed cheese. - The bakery section is constant everyday, no variations.
