We had booked the suite for 2 nights. We had the unpleasant surprise that the suite was allocated (after our reservation) to regulars. So, we were moved to a house at the bottom of the garden. It was pretty at first glance but we quickly became disillusioned: the cleanliness left something to be desired, the bed was particularly uncomfortable with dismal creaking sounds at every movement, no hot water in the shower.... not to mention that we had to live together with frogs, cockroaches and a multitude of mosquitoes. We cut our stay short by leaving after just one night. As we had booked two nights, and even if we did not have the chosen suite (which seems much more modern), our cancellation still cost us Rp 500,000! What is certain is that we must flee the “vacation house”. The standard rooms looked much better for much less money! The practice of assigning our reservation to another customer is very incorrect. We were too kind and accommodating when we were presented with a fait accompli upon arrival and we shouldn't have been. As for presenting this change to us as an upgrade, that's not very honest...
