With the TV series Four in a Bed, it makes you look at places in a different way. Take The Sun Inn, initial quotes were pleasant. Start looking around the room. Dust on curtain rails, unpainted bedroom door, paint on the floor in bathroom, spiders webs in the wonky lightshade, and a few hairs on mattress protector. Bed springs were noisy. To sleep, it was okay. The biggest issue was the complete lack of sockets in the room. Just one double where the kettle and dressing table was, and this was used by the TV and ariel booster box. To use kettle, you either had to use a socket by bed or unplug TV. Not great. Another major issue was the bathroom mirror, which was mounted very high, and my wife could barely see in it. Across the room, there were several holes in walls not filled and painted over. The room was described as overlooking garden, reality was you looked out onto the fire escape, with very little privacy. Other main issue was somewhere to eat. "Continental Breakfast" in the room, but only place to sit was on the bed. Bit of foresight, where the dressing table was would to have a small table and two chairs. All in all it was very average.
