500 Rai Floating Resort

Every staff speaks good English, very nice. The environment is extremely amazing. There forces you to put down your phone enjoy your holiday because there has no signal at all. But in the resort providing WiFi (not free). We definitely will go there again

They didn’t respond to my email about how to get to the hotel, had to figure it out on my own. Don’t respond to social media messages either which is a shame. The place is hard to get to. The food was alright. But the view makes up for all of the above.

If you're a frequent traveller to luxury resorts, you're likely to be a little disappointed by the infrastructure at 500 Rai. The resort is getting older and could do with a refresh. However, as your stay there unfolds, you realise that what you're paying for is the experience. Khao Sok is otherworldly and 500 Rai is located at the edge of an open section of the lake with stunning morning views (and sunrises if you're lucky) over the distant jungle peaks. It's one of the furthest resorts from the lake pier which means you get great sightseeing trips through the most dramatic parts of the lake on the way there and back. The welcome is warm and genuine, the service lovely and the atmosphere calm, unlike some other resorts we passed where guests were blaring out loud music from their rooms, drowning out the sounds of the gibbons calling, the water lapping and the birds calling. Why?! The morning lake trips and evening wildlife safaris at 500 Rai are wonderful and the day trip to Pakarang Cave simply unforgettable, helped by the most glorious weather that made all the colours sing. Thank you to Sunny for being such a fabulous guide! The food at the resort is good (but could be better) and the choice is generous, the beds are comfortable and the swimming pool a novelty (great for kids) although the lake swimming is just as much fun. Would we go again? Without the resort being updated, probably not but we had a wonderful time in the park and are very glad we went. We also want to thank the team at 500 Rai for their flexibility when our friends had to cancel their trip to Thailand - it was much appreciated.

Can not find the good enought words to describe their services as all are beyond excellent. We arrived the resort and the first smiling welcome wait for us there and then all begins and we fall in love with all of them. Room: excellent with layout,aminities,hyginess,cleaness,organic shower gel and shampoo. View: as you can see in the photos Food: all foods are amazing delicious (love Kang Som Bamboo the most. Last but not least,their services from all staff are mavelous.I never see any resort full with staff who have full services mind like them.Love you all and I will come again for sure.) Lovely and kind staff (Ticha is very kind to us). The food is delucious . Our kids have a great time here without internet . Our room is very nice and the airconditioning works very well! We will rebook 500 rai again. We have also booked the evening safari by boat.

We’ve had a super stay. Amazing location and superfriendly staff. Would absolutely recommend a stay here. The view is beautiful and swimming and kayaking in the lake was great. The pool in the lake was fun too. No downsides on this location :)

We have a really great time here. Excellent service. The view right in front of our villa is absolutely stunning. The Coral Cave is worth the hike and we get to see a lot of wild animals from Wildlife Sightseeing. Thanks to our lovely guid, Nipha. She is awesome!

We had an amazing experience!!! 500 Rai did not disappoint. It was truly incredible!! The hotel staff were very nice and helpful. The food and drinks were delicious. One of our servers was Sammy and she was awesome!! Our tour guide Sunny was great!! He was so nice and full of information. He definitely made our tours very special. I highly recommend this amazing floating hotel. It was truly an unforgettable experience.
