Fleur de Lys Bampton

Despite our Sat Nav misbehaving the additional travelling time was well worth our one night stay. Charming host, small but lovely bedroom en suite with extremely comfortable king size bed, beautifully furnished and decorated etc. Food also first class (though the soufflé texture is more of a fondue texture than a frothy mousse) and very pleasant service. Felt like I was staying in the French countryside. Exceptionally good value. What’s not to like!c

What a delightful bistro restaurant / boutique Hotel in a lovely country setting. We enjoyed the most relaxing 2 night stay. The bedroom, very French, so pretty with a very comfortable bed and Pillows, top quality toiletries and a lovely touch with bottled water (glass bottles) and little french madeline cakes. The bar area had a lovely atmosphere and the little courtyard garden was perfect. As for the restaurant, the food was divine, both dinner and breakfast, nothing to fault at all. From the moment we stepped inside to a very friendly welcome to the minute we left, the staff were amazing. Thank you all for such a Perfect Stay X

Fantastic stay at the Fleur de Lys in Bampton. Lovely bedroom, excellent breakfasts and first class dinner. The staff are amazing and friendly too and it was a nice environment. Made to feel very welcome.....I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel.....

Stayed here for two nights. The double room was very small - width of a double bed and two small bedside tables. That being said, the room was clean and well presented. Downside is the room was very very hot. We were informed the room is south facing and so is hot in the day and cooler at night which wasn’t the case. Whilst the window was open, the thick curtain had to be kept closed to prevent the direct sunlight coming in as well as bistro customers in the garden could see in as there were no blinds or a lighter curtain. The floors were very creaky both in the rooms and corridors - only good thing with having to have the fan on 247 was that it absorbed the noise from closing doors banging, other staying customers walking around and their TVs etc. We are at the bistro on the first night - it was very busy and food was nice. Staff were pleasant. This place wasn’t for us so we would not stay here again. Dropped two stars due to the heat in the room, noise and consequently didn’t sleep well either night.

So when we decided to get married we started looking for a place to have our after show meal and a place for guests to stay. So after looking around we decided upon the Fleur De Lys Bampton Boy did we make the right decision. The food in the words of our guests was excellent. The accommodation was the cleanest they have seen . The front of house team,housekeeping team and kitchen team just are all amazing. Booked here after my usual place was over booked and I am glad they did. Room is very much for people who want to enjoy the area. Dump your stuff and go and enjoy. Was lucky enough to visit during shirt race day. Breakfast was amazing and staff were so nice. Loved staying here.
